September is somewhat tolerable down here. Definitely a good time to be at the beach. Right now I just wanna be in the A/C!

02-13-banana BBBBBBut it's on campus.

And UCF Alumni and Students love their always improving on-campus football stadium (huge expansion of both East and West Side Clubs this past off season), which is located in the UCF Athletic Village where UCF's CFE Arena also opened up in Sept 2007 and now where UCF's Baseball Stadium is undergoing it's most expensive expansion ever (new Club, Suites and Press Box) this fall.

It's understandable that some (not all) can't appreciate on campus football stadiums or on-campus arena, both located in an Athletic Village that is home to 2,000 students with shops/restaurants lining their dorm streets when their own school has neither.

Not sure we ought to be throwing stones or criticizing anyone's OCS, given we don't even have one. Yep, Tulane's stadium isn't much either but it IS OC & fits their needs, makes for a pretty nice OC atmosphere. I applaud UCF for their vision & program support.

There are still some first row tickets in Sec. 125 available. This is the cheapest site I could find, everywhere else was $80 or more a ticket after fees!

I was going to, but they don't list the actual seats. I like knowing where I am going to sit. I know for basketball @ UCF the tickets U of M get are about halfway up the section. I only get to make a few games, so I don't mind paying extra for good seats.

True, but their OCS should be a guide on not how to build it, should we ever build one.

Long live the Liberty Bowl.

LOL!!

Did you know UCF was the first school in over 70 years to build a 45,000 plus seat on-campus football stadium AND a 10,000 seat on-campus basketball arena at the SAME TIME?

That's right...UCF build Spectrum Stadium and the $95 Million CFE Arena at the same time...as both of those beautiful on-campus facilities opened up on-time, on-budget, just 6 days apart.

Meanwhile, just like every other on-campus stadium in the country (most are 70-80 plus years old), UCF continues to upgrade their football stadium, which its largest ever club expansion this year for both the West and East Side concourses.

And do you know what these facilities do on a regular basis? They bring ALUMNI BACK TO CAMPUS...something Memphis can not do as they are one of only a handful that do not have an on-campus football stadium nor an on-campus basketball arena.

The #1 alumni event that brings alumni back to campus is on-campus football games.

The #2 alumni event that brings the most alumni back to campus is on-campus basketball games and top national acts/concerts.

You know and I know it will never happen in your life time or mine that Memphis will ever come up with a plan to build an on-campus footballs stadium or a real size on-campus basketball arena.

Meanwhile, here is info for single game tix (most of Memphis tickets thru your ticket office should be in Sec 224 and/or 225). If you order thru your tix office, you are not hit with huge ticketmaster fees.

If you want to buy other sections, including club sections, you can go to ticketmaster.com (if single game tix are available in booster sections, added fee for 1/7 booster fee is added to each tix cost).

this.

Those talking about parking revenue and concession revenue don't understand math. The real return on an on campus venue is alumni giving and involvement.

I mentioned the parking and concessions. Sorry I forgot about alumni giving. I was drunk posting and forgot.

Every University Foundation/Alumni Assoc will tell you this that those who are connected to the Univ on a regular basis ,(,easy to do with on campus football/basketball games at most schools) are much more likely to donate $$$ back vs those that regularly do not attend on campus events.

For those that are going, have you received your tickets yet? My wife, son and I will be in 125 Row 1 Seats 8-10. Anyone going to tailgate prior to the game? I've made plenty of away Basketball games, but this will be my first away Football game.

Got Tigers!!
