Not at all. Houston, SMU, USF, UCF and Cincinnati all have very high ceilings.

and temple is the largest fbs in the 4th biggest tv market in a football state...temples ceiling is extreme high...they arent as close to reaching that ceiling as some others are but they have a high ceiling...

I don't see the comparison to Oregon at all. Oregon has oodles of cash, incredible facilities, and a great on-campus stadium. Plus, they have one of the best recruiting states adjacent to them (with relatively few D1 schools per population), a decent (4 ESPN Top 300 kids this year) base of talent in-state, and they're in the Pac-12.

Connecticut produces espn 300's too..they dont have any this year but they had 2 last year

uconn has incredible facilities and the money to upgrade..uconn has oodles of cash..they make 30 mil more revenue than the average AAC...uconn stadium is nice fully funded by the state and was once used to entice an nfl team..its off campus but so is pitts, no one is complaining

conn is closer to new jersey and penn than oregon is to most cali recruits, adjacent aside

the p5 this is the only edge, but we are talking relative to this league

I think there are more edges with Oregon than simply being P5, but you make a fair point on New Jersey, which only has one (marginal) D1 program and is a Top 10 recruiting state.

Ya. There's other factors out of our control like Oregon playing top-level football for a much longer time. And having Nike as a partner certainly helps.
