I just see these pinned on lots of other boards so I asked Crimson to put these here. For convenience. Either is good. As our school number of posters grow, more and more will be used on our specific boards. 03-wink

RE: Basketball Recruiting
Here's an interesting one CSUB offers class of 2020 PF Mady Sissoko originally from Mali, 6'9 225. Probably will grow even more. Also has offers from Southern, Southern Utah, FIU and Utah State. Nice to see Barnes thinking far ahead. His AAU coach describes him "Plays like a lion. Dominant defender and really runs rim to rim." So sounds like a typical Barnes player who will fit in great.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
CSUB offered the top ranked JUCO in Mississippi Brian Halums (6'5 SF) last week. Also has offers from UTEP, Iona, Little Rock, Missouri State and Louisiana-Monroe. Barnes's Mississippi connection paying off in full, lots of talent there.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
CSUB offers JUCO 6'10 C Amel Kuljuhovic. Averaged 8.5 ppg and 5.4 rpg shooting 56% from the field. Seems like more of a scoring 5 then the defensive specialists like Aly and Ndoye. Pretty smooth stroke for a big guy.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
OT: Clarity, I won't answer most of these, but please keep posting here as you feel. I DO read the MBB recruit posts, but likely won't respond much as I'm just more of a BB guy, and just don't know basketball intricacies that well.
We do have several lurkers though who also keep up on tnis board. Hopefully, in time, they will join the community here too. Keep up the good work. I appreciate your contributions with this.

CSUB offers 2019 6'9 PF Bernardo Da Silva originally from Brazil. Already has offers from Utah State, Florida International, Southern, Southern Utah and Cal State Fullerton. He is from the Wasatch Academy the same place where CSUB 2020 target Mady Sissoko plays.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
CSUB offers 2019 6'6 SF Antavion Collum from Memphis. Scout has him as the best SF in the South, the 29th best SF overall in 2019 and the 107th best prospect in 2019. So far has offers from Missouri State, UT Martin and Memphis. He's a super athletic slasher whose very good at creating his own shot, some very impressive tape. This would be a massive get for Barnes.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
For me, I don't get too excited about a prospect until his recruiting class is less than a year away from the NLI signing period. I'm only concerned with who NMSU's coach can sign in November and next April; the 2018 class. However, it nice to see Barnes is upping the ante with his recruiting at CSUB.

Yah, I know what you mean with NLIs. We'll see if the Mississippi pipeline continues with this player.

Repost

Cartrell Thompson 6'8'' F enrolled as an academic redshirt freshman at CSUB. So not officially on the roster but looks like he will play next year. He was the California Section 6 player of the year in 2016 and led Price to a Section 6 title. Had quite a few offers but seems like academics were the issues with him and he went prep for a year. Pretty excited about this kid.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
CSUB has offered 6'9 JC Freshman Greg Floyd Jr of Antelope Valley (CA) JC. He is a 4 star recruit on ESPN and had a laundry list of P5 offers including Arizona, Oregon and USC. It appears he committed to LBSU but is going JUCO this year, possibly academics. This would be a massive get for Barnes if he pulls it off.

CSUB offer 6'9" JUCO PF Ronne Readus from Fullerton College. JucoRecruiting.com one of the top JUCO ranking sites like him and put him as a freshman to watch this year.

RE: Basketball Recruiting
CSUB got a commit this weekend, the second verbal commit for next year. Darius Williams 6'8'' PF from Paris JC one of the top JC's in Texas. Don't know much about him but last year he averaged 8 ppg and 5.5 rpg with 18 blocks in 25 games. JUCOadvocate a good JUCO source says he's a great get. He had one other offer from Arkansas State. They still have two open spots to work with.

CSUB also offered Christian Gray 6'6'' SF from Salt Lake CC, originally from Riverside. He has a 6'10'' wingspan which is really good for someone his size. Fits the Barnes mold of athletic slasher who is good at cutting to the hoop. In 31 games last year for SLCC he averaged 12.5 ppg and 7.9 rpg in only 25 minutes a game. Also has offers from UC Riverside and Pacific. Barnes seems to be loading up on size for next year, we will be losing Ndoye, Aly, Briggs and Suber. Gray would be a nice addition.
