Over the past 25 years, WMU is 19-6 vs. EMU. The years we've lost, where the game was, and our record those years:
1996 (Waldo) 2-9
2004 (Waldo) 1-10
2007 (Rynearson) 5-7
2011 (Rynearson) 7-6
2012 (Waldo) 4-8
2013 (Rynearson) 1-11
We've finished the season with a winning record in 15 of those 25 years. In those 15 winning seasons, we are 14-1 vs. EMU (2011 loss)
EMU has been a thorn in our side - when we've been bad (and regardless of home field).

I know we have a new QB, and they have a seasoned QB.
But our team is seasoned across the board compared to theirs, and I think we are even better than them this year than last year.
Joe Flacco is very comfortable demoralizing EMU on the ground.
And Roback, although an upperclassmen, is going to get picked off. Our D is LEGIT this year.
So I guess we don't need to worry about Flacco 'demoralizing EMU on the ground' anymore......eh Hiller4?
ANNNND, Buster Bronco is getting a new look! The times they are a changing.

RE: Hustle belt's Early 2017 Football Predictions
I definitely "like" EMU's outlook with their current coach. We can't look at last year's EMU team as a random blip on the radar. Throw in Mr Broback Mountain at QB -- and it being @EMU, it becomes a real thorn in our side. Both EMU & NIU last year were not easy tasks (at home).
IMO, WMU could win the West, and they certainly couldn't too. Same with Toledo, although one should have to bet on Toledo given their consistency -- and no "stah" shining like an NIU of yesteryear or WMU of last year. Who knows how it'll finish, especially with the good possibility of 3 way ties and all that.
I think after pre-conference season, we'll have a good taste on how things should unfold.

Out-of-conference doesn't always indicate it, but I think if EMU beats Rutgers (bad as Rutgers is), that'll show EMU is at least a contender.
