Football Strength and Conditioning
If you've followed my posts over the years, you will recall that I have been highly critical of our S&C program under CTT. Frequently during games I posted the players were "gassed" and were not mentally or physically prepared, leading to turnovers and stupid mistakes.

If you have been following twitter the past few days, players and coaches have been posting some before and after's from six months when the current staff took over. The results are amazing. One of the ones that stood out to me we a before and after of Hayden Moore. Hayden has dropped a little over 20 pounds. If I am being brutally honest, he looked like he had hit too many keggers and enjoying too much Skyline. Hopefully we will see the dividends on the field this year.

There are some other great ones out there on twitter. I also like the development of incoming freshman Marquis Smith. Looks like a different guy.

You are being way to generous, Hayden had a body worse than mine and I am 48 years old. It was crystal clear to many of us that there was something wrong in the strength and conditionaing. The Toledo game comes to mind, when so many twos and threes had to play due to cramping. We also had an inordinate amount of injuries. I remember Marcus as a vocal critique. Thank the good lord, ctt is gone. Marcus is a regular Nostradamus in this post. http://csnbbs.com/thread-706493-page-9.html

I noticed that the football twitter account is focusing on S&C as a point of emphasis for recruits.

Apparently his preference for compression shorts has changed to microskirts in the past six months as well judging from his most recent picture. 02-13-banana

A young Bob Barker in a tutu. Kidding! I'm all in for improved S&C. I think we will find that this is one of many elements of change needed for the program to improve in addition to the obvious - no more Commander-in-Sleep at the helm.

Lots of these on CLF's twitter.

Landon Brazille states that three years of college and he finally gets results in these last 6 months. Some of these comments are pretty damning. We all knew how bad it was around this program from the day that old craptastic staff rolled in to town but the photos are pretty amazing.

Jeez... He-who-shall-not-be-named didn't "do" player development. He didn't do it.

Why should the physical/ strength and conditioning side of the game be any different?

"Damning"??? Why should this surprise anyone is beyond me. He didn't do player development. I'm sure if a player wanted to, on his own time and on his own dlme, could have hired a trainer and worked on it. But it wasn't ever going to come the "coaching" staff.

It's pretty clear Tuberville didn't do much of anything. The most he ever got fired up about something was to yell at a fan to go to hell.

Here's Mike Boone... one of the more noticeable changes. Which is saying something given how he already looked.

Gotta think this is just as valuable for social media recruiting as anything else.

Very glad to see this type of attitude from the coaching (S&C) staff.

Basic idea to post pics:
1. Find the pic you want on the Internet
2. Right click on it to get a dropdown box
3. Select "Copy image address" in Chrome or something similarly tied to "address" in other browsers
4. Start a new post here and find the picture icon from the row of options starting with B for bold. I see it as the 10th of 16 total icons in the row, holding your cursor over it should say "Insert image". Left click it and it will open a small box that says "Please enter the remote URL of the image you wish to insert."
5. Paste the image address you copied in step 3 into the dialog box, making sure you end up with the correct format (e.g. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DD15FHbWAAEUqCZ.jpg")
6. click on "OK".

That and yell at Gunner. Otherwise he was very introspective and cadaver-esque.

Ridiculous considering much like free throws in basketball it's the one part of the game not dependent on being in a money conference.

I thought his weight from last year was about 205. Unlike Hayden who lost some weight (fat) while toning to muscle, Mike had no real fat to convert. He added pure muscle mass to his frame to my eyes. I assumed he bulked up a few pounds as a result.

These guys are starting to look like mutants. Even guys on the OL.

Looking through CLF's twitter feed, it is incredible how crazy active the program is. Al Washington hosting a BBQ at his house for all the members of the trench mob, 13 community service outings by the team in June to 7 different locations, staff is recruiting non-stop, players up at 5:00 AM to work out in the Thunder Dome....Its like the new staff has figured out a way to add an additional 8 hours to everyone's day.
