Yes. Larry Finch grew up on Select Street which is south of Park. Larry WAS Orange Mound!

38111 is NOT midtown.

Parts of 38111 are definitely East Memphis. Some folks would consider most of the 38111 zip code to be in East Memphis. None of 38111 lies within the traditional definition of Midtown.
The "midtown ends at Parkway" line has always driven me nuts. East high school is not in East Memphis, nor is U of M in my opinion.
I personally think East Memphis starts at Goodlett
So you don't think Galloway golf course is in East Memphis? Let me ask you another question...why do you think they named it East HS?
It probably was "east" when Central was "central."

RE: Season Tickets
Most people seem to believe that midtown and east memphis must share a common boundary. I don't see that.
Midtown can stop at E. Parkway and E. Memphis can start at either Highland or Goodlett. The area in between is just whatever neighborhood you belong...Humes Heights, Chickasaw Gardens, Buntyn, Joffre, etc...

Small mindedness.
Midtown is so much more than 38104. You totally disregard lots of real estate.
I like the 38112 area around Rhodes and Broad Ave...but that's all I'd consider in that zip. Maybe that tiny section of 38107 East of Alex's Tavern and south of Jackson (also next to Rhodes)
that's midtown to me. (at least the only parts I would consider living in)
also...how could you live in cooper young and not be 38104? like, what was that address that's cooper-young and not 38104?
I mean, if you're west of Barksdale and south of York...that ain't Cooper-Young.
I lived on Manila in 38114, very much in CY. Between Rembert and Barksdale. CY goes to Seattle.
38112 has Overton park, Zoo and Evergreen Historic district. 38107 is Historic Vollintine Evergreen and the green line.
Small-minded 38138 boa.
I disagree with your definition but hey, I've been called far worse :-)
I like Germantown a lot. I was born and grew up out this way, and I went to Houston High...but I love midtown too and I'd love to move back someday.
I love to get one of those small zero lot houses where Peabody meets Cooper.
No you don't. I've been in a couple of them and they are just not appealing.

Depending upon who you ask Midtown ends at...
1. East Parkway
2. The Poplar Viaduct
3. Other

1. The "Midtown" boundary line
2. Highland

RE: Season Tickets
I don't know for sure the boundaries of mid-town. But as a mid-town resident, all i know for a fact is (except for the fairgrounds) I get a nose bleed every time i go outside the parkways.
