Thanks. He's been kept very busy for the last week or two. Haven't talked to him much.

Preparing to play at a national championship contender that has a Heisman Trophy favorite at quarterback will keep you busy for sure. But I'm sure Mr. Clark will enjoy introducing himself come gametime!

I'm hoping he pile drives that center straight into their QB's gut. We'll see. Got to talk to Steven for a few minutes today. He's getting back into the swing of things. By the first week of Sept. he should be "football shape".

Great to see some media covering WMU sports and actually talking to Coach Lester.

And yes, sounds like Lester is going for a high-flying offense similar to the Babers-led BGSU squads a few years back.

I'm all for an up tempo offense, but the run game has to be a big part of that. I think it will be, but if you get pass happy, these up tempo offenses put your defense on the field a lot when you go 3 and out.

We have a good defense. But, you always want to control the clock.

Yep. The ball is still the program. Own the clock, win the turnovers.

Much like last year I think we'll be a 60-40 pass first team early. Teams will stack the box on us. I expect a lot of short passes to Eskridge, Bellamy and Watson. Once defenses can't crowd the line, they'll methodically use the run and burn clock.

I don't think we'll be a high scoring team, but dominating TOP will force opponents to abandon their game plans and take more risks. I see a lot of 31-17 games that will feel more lopsided than the scores.
