Going to Chicago at the end of September with my wife for four days. Haven't been there since a kid. Staying out by O'Hare and going to a White Sox Royals game that Sunday. Besides that do you have any suggestions on things to do? I know the Navy Pier, Willis Tower, Science Museum, and Natural History Museum. Would like to get a bite to eat by the ballpark on Sunday and eat somewhere also down by Wrigley when we walk by there.

You need to venture out more for your summers.

There is a reason everyone in the north travels south for Spring Break, Summer vacation and Fall breaks. From the Outer Banks, to Charleston, Savannah, Destin, etc. Then check out all the visitor license plates.

The reason is those places during spring and fall breaks have weather similar to northern summers.

Have you ECU guys been to Lake Michigan in the summer? 90 degrees and humid isn't everyone's ideal late-July day.

You guys live for 4 months of the year (Summer)...the rest is grey and overcast. I know, from NJ and have been working in OH. Down south we are wearing shorts in early November. Win.

Yeah I know....but we were talking about the summer. The middle of summer in Michigan > middle summer in NC

No city, anywhere.

Last time i visited Chicago I stayed by the airport in Rosemont and I decided to not rent a car. I bought a transit pass and it worked great. Was probably a 20-30 minute ride downtown and each time I would see people sitting in traffic on the 90. I ended up taking a cab a couple of times but mostly stuck with the train.

Wrigley is great. If you're into bars there are a ton around the ballpark on Clark Street. It's a great environment on gamedays. Also, I spent a lot of time in Logan Square just kind of randomly. I liked the neighborhood.

Go see the late night improv show at Second City. Starts at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Tons of fun. They used to do it at the main theatre but I think they now do it at their in house comedy club.

15 min. From Wrigley on Clark Street is a unique restaurant called Chicago Grinder and Oven Co. where they specialize in a unique pizza called a Pizza Pot Pie. Well wort it if you enjoy pizza.
