I like the water feature idea but won't that exacerbate costs if you guys decide to expand in the future?

I think the water feature will look better than in the graphical rendering. Its unique for sure though.

Over/Under on how many times that thing gets hit with dish soap per season?

I love the fact that we are planning something ostentatious that people think might be over the top. Not our normal SOP.

I love absolutely everything about this. I'm super jealous. Now I want Coastal to incorporate a wave pool with a beach into our stadium somehow.

This is literally the nicest rendering of a stadium addition I've ever seen. The waterfalls are really doing it for me.

UGA has "between the hedges."

Now ASU has "Between the falls."

I like it. I like it a lot.

I think its gorgeous. I've always had this little fantasy where TXST figured out a way to incorporate the San Marcos River into the Bobcat Stadium design. Like actually building a little "river" or something in the stadium somehow.

Or better yet, make something like the Jacksonville Jaguars have at Everbank Stadium. They have this party deck with glass walled swimming pools on the edge. Just put some tubes in there and you're good to go.

Imagine this but with TXST girls instead.

I like the waterfall, but I'm not naive. People (especially college kids) are going to try to piss in that thing all the time.

Yeah....I don't see that as being a primary issue.

I think they missed. They should have put in terraced rice paddies. Used a rice well to recirculate the water from bottom to top. Yeah, that's the ticket. 02-13-banana

Honestly, I'm ambivalent. The facility is badly needed so I'm glad to see it. If the water feature means we have more people enjoying their time in the stadium and they come back, so much the better.

There used to be a large fountain in the middle of campus at Southern. I walked onto campus one morning and there were soap bubbles in about a 20ft radius around it where someone did this.

We already have a fountain in front of our student union that the Greeks hit with dish soap pretty regularly. Hopefully that will provide more of a distraction than sneaking into our football stadium late at night.

Not that it is incredibly difficult to sneak into the football stadium or anything. You just have to know the weak points.

I like it. I'm thinking it will be natural looking, like an Arkansas stream, but the rendering makes it look like a pool since they used blue to indicate water.

With the the building going on this year the SBC is really spending on athletics. Coastal, Georgia St, ULM, LA, Troy and now stAte. Chime in if I missed your school.

I’m liking the new plans aswell. The waterfall rendering shocked me at first but It’s really growing on me.

You just went to college in a different time. Soaping the fountain is probably the most tame thing the greeks do now.

It looks incredible. I'd scrap the waterpark. It's a waste of money and space. It would look better on the outside somewhere.

Me neither... I guess it's pretty cool and extra nice for practice days and off-weeks, but not for game days.

Other than that, good to see SBC teams moving forward and building new stuff...
