RE: 43rd rated JUCO Recruit Signs with New Mexico State
For what it's worth, Cheick Sy-Savane was an NJCAA All-American (2nd Team) in 2016. He followed up a great JUCO career by walking on at GCU & played a total of 4 minutes in 2 games last season. I hope he comes in and tears it up for the Aggies, but I also don't think it's unreasonable to suggest success in JUCO doesn't necessarily mean success at the D1 level.
I think Justin Pride was ranked in the 20s when he came out of JUCO. So, take that for what it's worth.

Kinda wish Cheick got more playing time cause I feel like he could have torn it up on the offensive side.

It's an obvious have to wait and see thing. Good point about Justin Pride. He sucked royally. However, to get on fans for being excited about a prospect is absurd. It's also dumb to declare them a Messiah because of a rating. No one recruited 1st round. NBA draft pick Pascal Siakem was recruited by no one and look what happened.

D League champ and finals MVP. Played some tough games against the likes of the Main Red Claws and RGV Vipers.

The red claws are basically a bunch of first and second round picks too because Boston has done so well in acquiring picks after shipping guys off.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you're being sarcastic. NBA League has some great players. Pascal will be an NBA star in no time. So is your Messiah Dwayne Russell going to get drafted?

Not at all, I'm all about the dleague. Follow the sixers affiliate 87ers closely. To win a championship and be a finals mvp is amazing in any league. Lots of talent in the d league.
RE: 43rd rated JUCO Recruit Signs with New Mexico State
Cheick Sy-Savane was a Division III JUCO All-American. New Mexico State is recruiting Division 1 JUCO players.
Justin Pride was never a good scorer at the JUCO level. He only got the high ranking since he averaged 9 assist per game. His overall numbers weren't very good.
Wayne Stewart is definitely going to be a solid replacement for Braxton Huggins. He is clearly a scorer as you can tell by this video where he scored 28 points. He can score from anywhere on the court.
