Except you can buy a subscription to CBS All Access.

$5.99 / mth w/ commercials
$9.99 / mth if you prefer no commercials

I still wonder how that works. You're watching a live show and it goes to a commercial break. If you pay $5.99/mth you watch the commercial but if you pay $9.99/mth you watch a blank screen?

To me, it was not clear if CBS All Access includes CBS Sports Network or not. If it does, the following are the options to see all Tiger games:

Option 1:
Sling Orange (20$) - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3
Sling Sports Add-On (5$) - ESPNNEWS, ESPNU
CBS All Access (6$) - CBS Sports Network
Total = 31$ Per Month

Option 2:
Hulu (40$) - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNNEWS, ESPNU, CBS Sports Network
Total = 40$ Per Month

Option 3:
PS Vue Core (45$) - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNNEWS, ESPNU
CBS All Access (6$) - CBS Sports Network
Total = 51$ Per Month

Games on other channels (ABC) are either included in the package or likely free with an HD Antenna. I'll probably still go with Hulu since it can be a one-stop shop for all the channels.

We're waiting on the new YouTube package to be unveiled, but would pick Hulu if forced to choose today. DIRECTV has cut our rate after trying to cancel. If they can get an AT&T bundle close to Hulu or what YouTube can offer, we may stay.

Just checked and Youtube TV has launched in 5 cities (no Memphis yet or Miami in my case) - pricing is 35$ a month and includes all of the ESPNS and CBS Sports Network.

You just have to be at home for every event unless you have PS Vue. None of the others have DVR which makes it impossible for me to use them.

The moment PS Vue adds A&E and History channels I am dropping Dish and getting it.

I haven't looked at it in a while, but am thinking no HGTV and other kids channels we watch (compared to Hulu), but like the DVR, sports options and price.

I think so too - YouTube has a lot of great independent content out there, plus they are owned by Google.

I think Sling just launched their DVR in beta.

Also, there's an app called PlayOn that's pretty cool.

The free version functions as a media server.

The pay version gives you a streaming DVR.

Quote:A Fully Featured Streaming DVR

PlayOn Desktop is a PC app that turns your PC into a streaming video recorder and media server. Record, cast, and stream your favorite online shows and movies from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO and 100 other popular streaming sites. Watch anywhere, anytime, on any device, without the commercials, and even offline.

You set up the app with all your streaming accounts: netflix, hulu, amazon, etc.

Using the app you identify shows or movies you want to record. The app logs in to the specific streaming service thru its browser interface and then records the stream.

It's a real-time recording. That is, if a show is 46 minutes, it takes 46 minutes to record.

You can schedule recordings to run at night.

You can also schedule once to record a series.

The recordings are stored on your PC hard drive or external hard drive.

Your streaming devices (Roku, Fire TV, etc) have apps that will connect to your PC (media server) allowing you to stream from your media library.

Purchase Prices:
Monthly: $7.99
Annually: $29.99
Lifetime: $69.99

However, they run specials quite often on their lifetime subscription rate. I purchased my subscription for $39.99.

I've seen their special prices at either $39.99 or $49.99. Once I saw it at $29.99 but that was after I already bought it at $39.99.

Right now they're running a summer special for a lifetime subscription at $39.99.

Playstation Vue is, IMO, the overall best. The big drawback with Vue is they don't offer History Channel and A&E.

Direct has DVR. But their streaming service is terrible.

Wonder if it's back to the old days, and you just see the live feed from the stadium?

I recall when I was a kid, my dad had a sat-dish in the yard. This was one of those big boys, and the industry was like the wild-west. All the feeds were there for the taking. Watching the game feeds, they would break for commercials, and the producers would forget to turn the announcers mic's off. Very colorful language and jokes from those guys.

This website used to show what every service offered and broke down the costs. I can no longer see all of the channels or prices, maybe it is because I'm in Canada.

I will provide the link just in case.

Just make sure to use a VPN. It is just a matter of time when the networks start sending the letters out.

I never use any of the major providers, always 3rd party providers that purchase from the majors, and I've never had a problem. I was using my neighbor's wifi when mine was out for a day to download 1 tv episode and she got an email within 2 hours. I do use a VPN now.

In case anyone is curious about what box to purchase, my network of friends all run these and they all work great.

H96 Pro +
Android 6
32GB storage
3GB RAM
Amlogic S912

The worst mistake you can make is to buy a box that looks like a great deal but has Android 4, which is obsolete, and 1GB of RAM
