MyBB GCU offers 2019 PG scholarship
Coach Majerle handed out his second 2019 scholarship to local recruit Jovan Blacksher Jr. Blacksher is currently playing at Shadow Mountain under Bibby Sr. and on the AAU circuit. The video that VC shows him dominating the AAU talent, but I am going to possibly put that up to a lack of talent that he was going up against. Measurements are 6'1" and 155, so the kid obviously needs to bulk up before he comes to college, but he definitely has a slasher mentality.

Was also a part of the team that recently put a 50 point smack down on LaMelo and Lavar Ball

*scholarship offer

Was talking with buddies about this yesterday. I've wanted them to offer Jaelen House for about 2 years now. Blacksher may be just as skilled, without whatever attitude/entitlement that may come with a father & uncle who played in the NBA.

I don't put a ton of stock into mixtape, but like that Blacksher can go around people and will go AT them, too. He seems to have good vision, but its tough to know how much of that comes from playing with the same guys your whole life (as most of those Shadow Mtn guys have). Also saw a flash or two of defensive tenacity, which would be great if it was a part of his overall game.

JJ Rhymes (former Shadow Mtn guy) also reacted positively on Twitter to GCU offering Blacksher, which makes me hopeful we've stayed with him while he is becoming a qualifier. Would love to see JJ join GCU in 2018-19. He should probably be coming off his 2nd JUCO National Championship with Hutchinson at that point. Rhymes would be another great get.

It's funny because I saw a scouting report from last year that talked about how he really needed to work on finishing with contact and his 3 point shot, which it looks like he has done within the past year.
