Calipari Complaining About (possible) 20 Game SEC Schedule
He has a point as the SEC doesnt have a lot of Marquee match-ups for basketball that can really test his team. I guess the ACC teams and coaches dont have those concerns since we have so many great teams in this league.

No sympathy. The SEC schedule is so easy they don't need to play a bunch of scrubs. Yeah, yeah, home ticket sales... too bad! The price you pay for being on television!

ACC approved it. I am not sure when it goes into effect --- maybe next season??? No clue .... but definitely going to 20. In the ACC's case, I think it improves everyone's SOS. And will be a net positive for the league going forward.

The SEC though?? Playing more games against crap teams does nothing for you.

As much as I would like to do this 03-nutkick to Calipari, I believe what he is complaining about could ultimately help The ACC.

ESPN will use the strength of ACC basketball to strengthen The SEC while using SEC football to strengthen The ACC.

I would look for increased scheduling agreements between the two conferences the closer it gets to the launch of The ACC Network.

It only makes sense that ESPN would use its properties to strengthen each other.

Didn't the B1G just announce plans for a 20 game schedule?

RE: Calipari Complaining About (possible) 20 Game SEC Schedule
Well there goes the SOS in conference. Oh well the SEC wants so desperately to be relevant like other conferences, but guess what no one cares. Everyone knows the SEC is nothing more than UKay and a bunch of misfits who like a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in while. If they were in the ACC they would get destroyed at least once a week in conference unlike the SEC you have to bring each and every night when playing in the ACC. Cry slime boy maybe someone amongst your bbn may give a dam.

Found the following blurb in the article about the BIG 10 going to 20 games, possibly:

"The ACC announced last July that it intends to move to a 20-game league schedule beginning in the 2019-20 season."

The ACC going to a 20-game schedule means Louisville will likely not go to anymore preseason tournaments in the Pitino era. We will see more cupcakes or tournaments like this year (Memphis in a neutral site with 3 cupcakes at home).

RE: Calipari Complaining About (possible) 20 Game SEC Schedule
The season starts too early. Back the season start date to Mid-December and stop all these pointless body bag games. Most of our out of conference games are terrible match ups that are almost too bad to watch. These, along with the uk game, are the out of conference opponents of Louisville the last two seasons :

Evansville
William & Mary
Long Beach State
Old Dominion
Wichita State
#20 Baylor
#15 Purdue
Grand Canyon
Southern Illinois
Texas Southern
Eastern Kentucky
Samford
Hartford
North Florida
St. Francis
Saint Louis
#3 Michigan State
Grand Canyon
Eastern Michigan
Kennesaw State
Western Kentucky
UMKC
Utah Valley

Stop playing these type games. Start the conference season earlier. Don't bore the crap out of fans.
