Serious question here: Does anyone have an idea of what his recruiting pitch is? What does he say or do that no other coach at this level does that makes him successful... assuming he's not cheating.

He whispers in the recruits ear: "Hey come to WKU & I'll tell you what our mascot is."

First of all watch some video of him. He's charismatic. He's funny. He has a highly symmetrical, well proportioned face that people are genetically hard wired to trust.

2nd, he built a relationship with Mitchell Robinson at Texas A&M. If it helps you to think of it that way Robinson wasn't considering a "mid major". He was considering Texas A&M. Had he chosen to stay committed there no one would have accused them of cheating (even though our basketball tradition is at least as good as theirs). But he decided that his relationship with the coach that was recruiting him was more important than his relationship with the school. Is that so hard to believe?

Robinson is the lynch pin here. Once you get Robinson (5 star center, top ten player in the country) then the sell gets a lot easier. Robinson leads to Anderson (4 star wing). We already had Bearden (former 4 star point guard sitting out on a transfer). The sell gets even easier. It's dominoes. And until somebody proves cheating that is what I will believe.
