He was impressive indeed. He showed great poise for a sophomore (?). Singer found himself in trouble in the late innings, bases loaded & 2 outs, but pitched himself out of it even though he was tiring. He pitched like a first rounder. Hopefully my Cards will have a couple more shots at the Gators. TCU will be tough as well Thursday night.

Will be interesting to see if TCU goes with Traver or Lodolo on Thursday night. Both spent part of this year injured.

Traver is a senior who has seen a lot of action in his TCU career. He started a mix of weekend and weekday games for TCU this year.

Lodolo is a true freshman and hasn't started a game since I think the Big 12 tournament due to injury. He did pitch an inning against Florida late in the game to get him some game action and he looked solid. He was the #41 overall pick in the MLB draft last year so he has great stuff, but that is a big spot to throw a true freshman in.

Either way TCU will need Lodolo to pitch to have a chance to win 3 more and make the final series.

I expect Louisville to go with Nick Bennett, a 6-4 lefty. He's a freshman but is 5-0 & started 12 of the 14 games he appeared in. He has a 2.70 era & teams are battling.240 against him. He's third on the team in strikeouts with 59. His biggest win probably came at Clemson, his last appearance of the regular season since the last game against FSU was rained out. He hasn't pitched since getting a win against Xavier in the regionals. He was a 40th Rd pick in the 2016 MLB draft by SF. He was #1 in Ohio in his class according to Prep Baseball Report. He was recruited by Vanderbilt, Mississippi, North Carolina, Kentucky &, ironically, TCU. He has been named to several Freshman AA lists. There is no doubt that he is our 3rd starter & likely our ace next season.

The daunting part of coming out of the losers bracket this year is that both Oregon State and Florida are very deep in pitching. Most years if you beat one of the two starters coming out of the losers bracket you get a so so #3 guy in that third game. That won't be happening this year which will make a team winning it all from the losers bracket an epic achievement.

And what is going overlooked by most is that Oregon State has quite an offensive team as well. It's no fluke that they've won 50+.

I don't know about TCU but Louisville is lacking a #4 starter. If Louisville is fourtunate enough to win tonight we will likely through McKay out there in game 1 v Florida but Saturday, if fourtunate enough to get there, would be a huge problem. McClure would be on 4 days rest so we would likely be dependent on our pin. It would be a nice problem to have though. Tonight I'm worried about TCU, they have a great team.

We do have a guy who has started 2 out 15 games in which he appeared in. Rabon Martin is 4-1 with an 4.88 era. His longest outing this season was when he went 4 innings against Vanderbilt, giving up just 1 er. He's a junior lefty out of Georgia.

TCU definitely goes 4 deep in the starting rotation. The two guys who haven't started for us in the CWS thus far are Mitchell Traver and Nick Lodolo. Both have started weekend games for us.

Traver started against LSU in the 2015 CWS for TCU and against Coastal Carolina in the 2016 CWS for TCU.

Lodolo turned down a $1MM plus signing bonus from Pittsburgh to play college ball, so while he has no CWS experience....someone thinks he is good enough at baseball to throw that kind of cash at him.

T.C.U. eliminates Louisville in a close, well played game, that unfortunately featured a couple of bad base calls against Louisville. T.C.U. 4 Louisville 3.

We've been eliminated in the postseason the last few years by questionable calls. If Louisville would have executed better though they likely wouldn't have been in the situations that allowed the bad calls tonight. Congrats to TCU.

Faedo was 100% as good as advertised. Frogs were 3-0 in CWS games against other pitchers and 0-2 against Faedo. TCU never quite found their offense in Omaha, but it was enough in the other games.

Best of luck to Florida and LSU in the finals, this has been a great CWS and will be a worthy final.

I think the Frogs just drew the wrong side of the bracket. You would have matched up much better with both L.S.U. and Oregon State. You have a very solid team at a time when most have a deficit in one area or another. Florida's deficit is offensive power. L.S.U.'s deficit is the bullpen other than Hess. I think T.C.U. had depth and offensive capability. It was just bad luck that you drew Faedo twice. But I have to admit that Singer when he is on is even better. Can you believe that my Tigers swept them? Casey Mize and Keagen Thompson are our duo and they almost got us through the Regional. We lost our shot at the CWS on the final strike of the game against F.S.U. in th first elimination game when we were in the winners bracket. Our deficit was no #3 pitcher and only 1 good reliever. I brought this up because when he was on, Mize's slider and curve to go with his 95 mph fastball were something to behold. He's actually better than Faedo when he's on, but I still give the nod to Florida's Singer if both are on.

Congrats Gators, think I saw it is your first national title (which kind of surprised me).

Florida fans have it pretty good, titles in football, basketball, and now baseball all in relatively recent history.

The only school in the SEC to win all 3.

Saw a ESPN tweet that only 4 schools have done it period; Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, and UCLA. Certainly a big accomplishment.

Crazy thing is that in Division III, University of Wisconsin - Whitewater won all three titles (football, basketball, and baseball) in the same athletic year.
