Clemson jut ran out of arms. Monte is still rebuilding the roster after so many recruiting failures under Leggett.

RE: Road to Omaha 2017
This series with UK is going to cost me years off my life.
Either we get our 4th CWS, or those jack nuts get their 1st. God help us if they get their 1st.
I wouldn't trade teams, or for anyone on their team, but I am nervous as hell about what will happen this weekend. The last two years have my confidence shot, and this year's team doesn't measure up to last years.

I don't follow closely, but why has UVA fallen off a bit? Their $$$, brand name, academics followed by a title I thought would maybe become a bit of a power. Anybody have any inside?

Have they really fallen off much? They just hosted a regional last year. I think they'll be fine.

It's baseball. That's what makes it a glorious sport. Two great arms and a solid reliever with average team hitting and you can make a regional. Have a third average starter and you might make a super regional. Throw in a couple of major league quality hitters and you are a championship contender. In Baseball your program's history is built on hosting and winning regionals and occasionally making the CWS. Win a natty and it's wonderful, but dynasties you won't really find. Virginia is A okay. They just didn't have that extra arm or depth this year. But their rookies got a lot of playing time and that will pay off next year.
What the best programs have are good talent evaluators as head coaches, coupled with assistants that teach the fundamentals that high school coaches never knew to teach. Have those two in place and the rest has a way of taking care of itself.

They just finished the season winning 43 games, finishing 4th in ACC, finishing ranked around #10 in most polls, and going to their 14th consecutive NCAA tournament. They would probably have advanced a little further in the post season if they did not lose two of their 3 starting pitchers to injuries in the last week of the regular season.

I hope McKay brings what he had against Oklahoma in the regional tomorrow. We need to finish this off. A Sunday game puts all the pressure on us, and with the last two super's results, well ... I just don't wanna have to face that.

Cards are the first team to advance to Omaha as they sweep Kentucky! Cards 6 UK 2 in game 2.
7 Cards will face the winner of A&M & Davidson in game 1 of the CWS. 6 TCU/Missouri State & 3 Florida/WF winners will also be our bracket.

Congrats Cards ! Omaha Bound. I would also congrats to Kentucky for reaching super regionals for first time ever. You have a brilliant young coach and likely will have great success in the future. Praise goes out to Xavier for digging in hit for hit in that Regional thriller. This has been a fantastic 2 weekends of college baseball. Can't wait to see what Omaha has in store.

What a great time eliminating Kentucky from the tournament while advancing to Omaha! 5 straight Supers for Louisville with 3 trips to Omaha in the last 5 years.
FSU came from behind to beat Sam Houston St 7-6. They lead 1-0 and can advance tomorrow.
Florida beat Wake 2-1 in 11 innings. Wake only allowed 4 hits but loaded the bases in the 11th by gifting UF a walk, HBP, and HBP before the game winning single. Wake struck out 23 times and was 1-13 with RISP.

The Deacs are going to need their bats to come alive if they want to force a game 3.

FSU crushes Sam Houston 19-0 and joins Louisville in Omaha. The 'Noles are on fire the last few weeks.
Wake was leading Florida 5-4 in the 5th inning when game 2 was delayed and then suspended. The game resumes at 1pm tomorrow. If Wake holds on, a winner take all game 3 will be played an hour after game 2 ends.
