Besides the fact that so many ACC games are on national TV, notice
the big-time neutral site games: except for Louisville vs. Purdue, they
are all under the ACC TV contract. ESPN lists NC State (vs. S Carolina), Florida State (vs. Alabama), Virginia Tech (vs. W Virginia) and Georgia Tech (vs. Tennessee) as the "home" team in all four of those games.
What does all that mean? For one thing, it means count the TV ratings for those games under the ACC's TV contract. So when Disney audits ESPN's books, they see good value for ACC football. But Disney won't be the only one taking a look -- when ESPN goes to sell the ACC Network to cable providers, you can be sure the Worldwide Leader in Sports will use these ratings to help sell it.
