Q&A with VT AD Whit Babcock
For those interested, here is a Q&A that Andy Bitter of the Roanoke Times posted:

Part 1
http://www.roanoke.com/sports/virginia_t...999ac.html

Part 2http://www.roanoke.com/sports/virginia_t...4e13b.html

It touches on finances from a Virginia Tech-centric point of view, but I think it's a worthwhile read for others here. And here's an interesting exchange regarding the ACC Network staffing of on-air talent that I thought were particularly enlightening...

Quote:AB: Will that be a centralized set of ACC broadcasters or will they be local? How will that work?

WB: Well, I don’t ultimately know all of that. We wouldn’t be hiring the on-air talent that would be sitting courtside and do that. But all the people behind the cameras, etc., our folks in Hokie Vision are our primary advisers on that. And again, ESPN learned a lot with the SEC launch, and they’ve come onto campus a couple times and will be back, and they would like all of our schools to be up and ready to roll in fall of ‘18, a year in advance. That’s everybody’s goal. So you’re going to see every school in the ACC and Notre Dame. Some have already started. We haven’t started yet. But building out this studio infrastructure and staffing, etc., and ideally we all have it in place for about 15 months.

I'd encourage those who have a passing interest in ACC finances to read the entire thing.
