If only I could watch a game on your home court. That floor for some reason really bothers me. Could just be me though. League should be very strong though and this only helps.

Eh... he's OK. He disappeared in a lot of games, though. I mean, ECU was awful and he did jack squat in any game vs the Pirates.

I would agree that he did disappear in some games but his progression from year 1 to year 2 was pretty noticeable. if he makes similar strides UCF will be a tough out each night.

If he makes the same progress from his Sophomore to Junior season that he did from fresh to soph, he'll be unstoppable.

His presence on defense alone is a game changer. If he can learn to create his own shots, and have more ball control...

I think losing BJ Taylor would be a bigger loss.

Your baseball team hasn't technically been eliminated yet.

Eh, we're a lock for the Gainesville regional. Would much rather win it all, but if it comes at the expense of depth into the tourney...

I think we have a good chance to make the tourney this year with him back. Really hope he can make the same kind of jump this year as he did last year. I think he can since he has only been playing basketball for 4-5 years. If he can continue to get stronger and work on his mobility and touch around the basketball he can be unstoppable. Needs to stay healthy.

Agree. I have heard that UCF officials want to remove it. It looks better in person than on TV though.

ECU did shut him down, but ECU also had a really, really good big man defender. Lots of other teams in conference didn't. Ask Cinci, villanova, Memphis, etc.

ECU and Tulane believe it or not were able to effectively shut down tacko on both ends of the court. Outside of those he was a major factor in the rest. So I wouldn't agree he disappeared in a lot of games. Really just a small handful and that is a major credit to the teams game plan and ECU's great big man matchup.

Semi in the draft; Tack not in the draft.

UCF will be a top 3 team :)

if they are the league will be pretty strong. I think Houston and Temple will also have pretty good teams. That would be a nice top 6. Tulsa should be improved as well. Verdict is still out on UConn and Memphis though.

Yeah I wondered if it looked much better in person. Just seems like to much going on. But in any event good luck with this season. Seems like you guys could be tourney bound.

Hoping for Andre Washington 2.0...

I agree. He will be unstoppable. Cross between Steve Urkel and a less skilled Manute Bol. Top pick in NBA draft, bank on it.

RE: Tacko Tuesdays to continue next year
This is great news for the league. I think at least 2/3 of the teams in the league will be improved next year.

Wichita State and Cincinnati are probably top 15 teams.

UCF and Houston should both compete for an at-large bid.

SMU may take a step back, but could still make the tournament.

Tulsa and Temple should be better, and I wouldn't be shocked if one of them found their way into the tournament field.

UConn and Memphis lost a lot, but still have enough talent to be respectable.

Tulane should improve in year 2 under Dunleavy.

I like what Brian Gregory is doing at USF. I think he has already upgraded the talent level and is bringing in guys that are ready to play right away.

And then there's ECU... but, they did show a lot of improvement late in the season. If they can finish in the top 200 RPI, I will be happy with their progress.

Still though, I think we could end up with 7-8 top 100 RPI teams when it is all said and done. And I think 4 NCAA tournament bids is likely, with 5 possible.

RE: Tacko Tuesdays to continue next year
Wichita State fans, I think you'll be very happy with the strength of the league this year. You may take a couple losses, but you'll end up with a top 4 seed if you are as good as you were last year.
