Never had so many coaches within a league text me about a player’s decision as with Tacko Fall. Game-changer in the American.

-----------------------------------

Tacko changes up most opposing offenses and sometimes (not always) is a threat on his offensive end...and that makes UCF so unique in AAC.

Many teams in AAC play similar style offenses/defenses...but Tacko makes opposing coaches focus so much of their short practice time (maybe only 1 or 2 days of available practice before they play UCF) that makes it a challenge to play against him.

Agreed. There isn't another player like him in college basketball and frankly hasn't been for years. Watching Clark and Washington against him this past year was beyond frustrating as both those guys are great players but Fall lived inside their heads.

The two games against UCF were honestly two of the least enjoyable games to watch all year though. The way UCF grinds the game to crawl is like nails on a chalkboard but absolutely necessary to let Tacko dominate. It's a must to have a point guard and wings with desire to push the ball to take him out of the game.

He is a far less athletic Shawn Bradley.

He has one attribute of note, he is tall. If we going to get drafted in Round 1, he would have stayed in the draft.

I don't think you are giving him enough credit, he is close to Bradley.

Bradley in College: 17 pts, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks per game (as a freshman). No he isn't close.

I am talking athletically close to Bradley. He is far less polished.

Forgot about him.

So SMU has 5 really good, proven guards... but no big guys. SMU will still be solid, but it's hard for me to see any scenario where they don't take a step back. It's a guard-heavy league, but you still need guys over 6'6" who can get it done.

hint - grad transfer(s)

Who are the grad transfers?
Nobody earth shattering but will fill a great need
Akoy Agau and another that staff wants off radar for the moment

I know you are aware of this, but Agau averaged only 15 minutes a game on a terrible Georgetown team. SMU was one of the best rebounding teams in the country last year but I expect any team with quality size will abuse them in the paint.

Sorry, but I doubt a single AAC coach sent him a text. I call BS on that.

LOL!!l Why would ESPN's Jeff Goodman lie about this?

True...saw that more than a few times...as some of the better players in the conf had bad games vs UCF/Tacko.

On the other hand...I think it was the UCF game at Tulsa...where Tulsa's guards/wings/forwards drove right at Tacko and got Tacko into foul trouble in a game. In that game, Tacko scored just 4 pts in just 19 mins of play (had 4 fouls) and Tulsa pulled away in 2nd half.

Some "big guys" like ECU's Washington (who was both tall AND pretty strong) might have gotten in Tacko's head as Tacko had a couple of his shots blocked, which was a rarity and Tacko never got comfortable playing against him during the regular season as Tacko couldn't push him off the low block.

Best game plan is to attack Tacko and not be afraid of or avoid him.

And why would an ESPN writer with no ties to UCF go out of his way to lie about something like that?

He needs to do something else. He can make excuses, even lie and blame ECU for not supporting him blah blah...as long as he's gone. He's getting gpaid very good money and just isn't a fit. I'll be nice about it this time. Just go, Lebo.
