Re: national seed. We just need to host a damn regional. Sick of the close calls (2011 and 2016). This is something students and recent alums have been longing for. We didn't experience 2003 (only time we hosted).

We will have a chance at a national seed next year if we can get through the draft unscathed.

That was terrible. Pitching was terrible. And we left too many guys on base. Congrats UTSA.

Difficult to go 4-0 against anyone, but especially a decent team, which UTSA does have. That's basically what happened today.

Charlotte jumps on LA Tech early.

Tech has plenty of offense to come back if Harris settles in.

Home plate ump took a hit. They looked at him for several minutes, rapped his arm and he's back in it.

T3, Charlotte leads 3-0. All 3 came in the 1st. Harris appears to have settled down (knock on wood). Right now Gladu is on 1st with no outs. Gladu has reached base both ABs, both off errors.

Tech had two hits this past inning that probably would have been homers or at least doubles had this game been played with the earlier wind. Luck of the draw I guess.

Looking like it's gonna be a 2 and done for us. No way we're gonna beat Southern Miss tomorrow. Pissed away a really good season.

Tech curse strikes again. No way we get at-large if we go 0-2, and beating USM would be a miracle.

I was kinda of expecting a bad first game... you don't usually win 4 straight games against any opponent in a single season.

It was one reason I was worried about game 1 when I saw who we were up against.

Just have to make sure we don't have a major let down against La Tech today.

We couldn't have been pitted against a worse team (no pun intended). We just swept UTSA days ago...I'm sure they were pissed about it. Then they find out they are matched against us in the first game of the tourney and they are seeking redemption. Any USM fan who didn't see this coming is a fool!
