Alright, I have a pretty moderate view toward illegal immigrants, maybe even slightly liberal. I'm against building a wall and I think rounding them up should be pretty low on the law enforcement priority list, given we have finite resources in this area.

But this line really jumped out at me:

Quote:The secret device was used in March by a team of FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Metro Detroit to find Rudy Carcamo-Carranza, 23, a twice-deported restaurant worker from El Salvador whose only brushes with the law involve drunken driving allegations and a hit-and-run crash.

Seriously? I can't believe what I just read. And neither can the dozens of commentors of that article. I'm usually willing to dismiss journalistic nonsense for what it is, but this really stuck in my craw. Downplaying drunk driving and hit-and-run, not to mention multiple deportations, in order to slip in your agenda? Are you kidding me?

Look, I can understand some lenience toward illegals with supporting full citizenship if they appear to be in good standing over the years. But this guy's gotta go. And this staff writer (Robert Snell) is the embodiment of the loony left that helps blowhards like Trump get elected, and is doing his part to boost his chances again in 2020.

A bit odd since the Detroit News is typically a right-leaning newspaper.

The liberal mantra is to let them all in no matter their transgressions or the economic impact. They see it as automatic Democratic voters as soon as they can manage granting them citizenship. Short of murder, anything else is okay.
