i always though they started showing up the end of May/first week of June.

But SN/S&S one always seemed to be a little later....maybe mid june.

Lindy's/Athlon's seemed to come first. And Phil Steele's was always way late. end of June or so.

Bunch of young uns on this board. 😀. S&S was THE authority in preseason magazines until American City Business Journals, who published The Sporting News, bought them in 2007. The Street & Smith name has actually been out there as publisher of the Sports Business Journal. Good to see them back!

My thoughts too. I think I still have some baseball Street and Smith's from the '60's. I bet the old Sporting News weekly tabloid would blow their minds. The baseball bible. Before the talking heads it was the way we kept up with Major League baseball when I wore a younger man's clothes.
