I think we relook at Boise. I honestly think we give them a sweat heart deal, and get them into AAC. I firmly believe that.

I also firmly believe we give SMU a sweetheart deal as well.

I also firmly believe we give SMU a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give Houston a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give USF a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give TULSA a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give Memphis a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give Wichita a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we do not give Tulane a sweetheart deal.
I also firmly believe we give UCONN a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give ECU a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give UCF a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give Cincy a sweetheart deal as well.
I also firmly believe we give Tempe a proposition to become the Parrots, or give their money to ECU.

Seriously however, We invite Boise.

Well---decent chance the money wont be there to invite anyone from the MW. I'll wait and see what the final word is before passing judgment----but the reality is---expect schools to do whats in their own best interest when given a choice. Its the way of the world. 04-cheers

Wishful thinking.

Adding 8 Navy conference games plus the Air Force and ND games every other year will more than pay for itself.

Plus they help our bowl situation.

We've got no claim to the Army-Navy income stream, as they've earned that money all by themselves.

So by that logic: Then why are they in a conference? Why is anyone in a conference? Sure SMU and Houston earn the same amount of tv money because the conference splits it up equally, not because SMU generates the same tv ratings as Houston. Or even half or a quarter...

Ya, it's sort of like one AAC administrative employee making $1.7mm a year, almost as much as each school takes in .

I'd be perfectly content doubling Aresco's salary, just to piss off the people who harp about how he's done nothing.

Would you rather have the MWC commish? C-USA?

What exactly does this guy have to do to be successful, beyond what he's already done?

CUSA and MWC budgets, markets and facilities are a massive step down.

What exactly has he done?

I mean he tries (yayyyy) he is just grossly overpaid. As a comp, should the SEC commish make $20mm a year based on their income.

He's the driving force behind the cohesion of the teams under a unifying idea, and the separation from the other G4 conferences.

He's taken every piece of inventory available to him and returned the most value possible from it given the teams, fanbases, and circumstances of the negotiation. And then he's pounded that idea at every opportunity possible.

I find it funny that the two least performing universities in this conference (that every other program not in the P5 wants to be in) are the most vocal in calling for his removal. Maybe if ECU and Tulane performed at the same trajectory as the other schools in this conference, he'd have an easier time to turn this former disaster of a conference into a legitimate P6 conference.

No no no. Have you ever been to an ECU game? Have you ever seen our stadium? Some schools in this conference have actual attendance that's less than an average Texas high school game. Two schools in this conference don't even have a stadium. Some don't have nice stable stadiums, let alone big stadiums. Please don't make that comparison.

Hmmm.....the posters on here who run attendance numbers to bolster the AAC's claims sure do. If you don't care, please remove ECU's numbers out of the AAC attendance numbers.

I recommend that all attendance smack from here on out be done in terms of stadium capacity.
Navy wins! Average91% of capacity!

Oh I know the coach didn't. On to the Navy AD, The question came to me when I was looking at old quotes about him and the Boise sweetheart deal, then I read his bio....I was just curious. I'm not criticizing him for that ok? I do feel like it was kind of hypocritical to blast Boise for a separate deal though. I'm obviously in the minority on this, so I guess I'll log off before it gets out of hand....Have a good day everybody.

and it cost more for each member to travel to your town. You don't take basketball seriously and you get to split units with Uconn, Cincy, etc. Time to stop complaining. Everyone can make some kind of stupid argument. If you guys had an annual rivalry that captured over 6 million viewers you might have the same luck too.

RE: CBS signs 10-year extension to remain home of @ArmyNavyGame through 2028:
Okay, but seriously.
I boarding a plane now and just saw this. Interesting but I can't add anything new to the convo.

I would go back though to the point about neutral sites like the Advocate Kickoff Classic. I was going to say the Atlanta Chik Fil A kickoff game because I'd honestly forgotten that Houston Oklahoma was one of those.

So, did that Houston-Oklahoma Advocare Kickoff Class revenue get shared?
