Hate that it is in NYC. But whatever. Put it in Nashville if you want a neutral site.

Should be a fun game.

Really glad this series is getting going again.

Any particular reason UC and UL aren't playing though?

Back in the 80's, the Tigers and Cards were one of the greatest rivalries in college sports.

Shame we parted ways when the Metro broke up and GMC was formed.

That's not what I am hearing--- at least as long as Coach Pitino and Coach Cronin are both still on the job. I've heard there is a gentleman's agreement between the two not to schedule one another out of loyalty.

I heard something similar, although not that specific reason.

I heard that Louisville was going to attempt to continue a series with Memphis in basketball, and with Cincinnati in football.

The Tigers will try to keep the margin of defeat under 30 points. It will be an improvement over the last two games coached by Tubby.

Last season we played--2013-2014--beating then defending nat'l champs Louisville home and away, Josh got in enough good graces to ride it for another 2 years.

Hard to believe in that short passage of time we've fallen so low. I suspect back then we were probably even favored at home.

so Memphis and Tubby can beat a Final Four team in South Carolina...but we can't hang within 30 of Louisville...OK, then.

I don't know about Louisville, but it was tough to do against SMU and UCF

I do think we had a team that had cashed it in at that point due to nonsense going on behind the scenes. However, I do think we get curb stomped by the UoL.

Sadly, there is little - if anything - indicating Memphis will be competitive. The Tigers have little experience playing with each other, little experience playing in D-1, little outside shooting (among the worse in the nation last season in3 point shooting and we lost out best shooter due to transfer), an in coming class that would be role players on many teams in the past ten years, little time for player development (eg, S&C), and the same coach.

Like another poster stated: "We gonna get smushed."
