Quote:But with the conference's new television rights deal coming into effect for the 2017 season, it looks like the Penn State vs. Ohio State game on Oct. 28, and several other marquee games this fall will be shown on FOX. Previously the only Big Ten game that was shown on the FOX family of networks annually was the Big Ten Championship game.

Quote:According to a graphic presented to Fox affiliates Monday, the company released its fall schedule, with U-M/OSU on its list.
Why is that so important? Michigan-Ohio State was by far the most-watched pre-bowl college football game of the year, with 16.8 million viewers. Alabama-Florida in the SEC title game was next with 11.0.
Other games in the background of that image: Michigan State-Notre Dame, Ohio State-Penn State, USC-Texas and Oklahoma-Oklahoma State.
According to reports, U-M coach Jim Harbaugh participated remotely, calling Fox "the new primary home for Big Ten football."
According to Ohio State site Eleven Warriors, the last time "The Game" wasn't on ABC was in 1986, when it was on CBS. That year, No. 6 Michigan defeated No. 7 Ohio State, 26–24, in Columbus.
The Big Ten has not released its full television schedule for the fall.
