Steelers give away DeAngelo's number 34

Looks like this is probably it for DeAngelo in Pittsburgh. But he will sign somewhere.

At least I hope so...

A Dallas Tiger

Hey, on another note called the ticket office about the UCLA game. Apparently no tickets being sold to general public until Monday before the game. Is that what everyone is being told?

Too bad for DWill. He had a TON of Steeler cornhole boards at his tournament last weekend. I kinda wondered how long that relationship would last after seeing them all. Didn't figure they'd keep him after drafting James Conner.

Hopefully, DWill gets one more opportunity. He proved last year that he could still be a solid starter in the league. I'd love to see him head to Oakland to split time with Beastmode, but I doubt that's realistic.

He isn't going to make the HOF so I hope he retires. He doesn't need the money or any contribution to any potential health issues later in life.

I had Dwill as a backup in FFB this past year.

He is still great when he gets downs.

But as you have pointed out before, he is a year older.

Thanks, Frank.

Agree. He's set for life and is way beyond the average retirement age of NFL running backs.

I think he ends up with a contender for one more year.

Yep. He has given plenty, more than most in his profession. He has three beautiful kinds that deserve a healthy daddy to raise them.

It would be awesome for him to get a ring, though. See if you can land a spot with a contender, play one or two more seasons for minimal pay, serve as a backup, and see what happens. He still has some gas left in the tank.

If someone is going to pay him over 1Million to be a backup he should take it.

DW has a net worth of $27 million. So an additional $1 million is worth further repetitive brain trauma and a life (and possible early death) with CTE?

05-stirthepot He could have stopped long before reaching that $27 million but couldn't it just be his love for the game?

While there is a risk, it is much lower when you are not getting any carries.

His call to make, though. Maybe pursuit of a deep playoff run means a whole lot to him.

He should beg, borrow, or steal to get on the 53 man roster for the Patriots.
