So far FSU has played one home and no road games against Notre Dame, but that graphic shows 5 road games with only 3 home? Way to take one for the team, Noles.*

* Assuming this schedule is ever actually completed, that is...

So in total through 2037, FSU has 4 home / 5 road with the Irish. Louisville in total has 5 home / 4 road (1 already played) vs Notre Dame. I'm not going through all teams but my guess is everyone will be 4/5 or 5/4. If someone has the time, I'd 'd be curious to see if anyone has a more uneven split.

curiously ...
except for a lonely date with michigan ...
texas schedule free of nonconference appointments after 2024 ...
coinciding with the big12 contract expiration ...

Unless a P4 champs only playoff is contractually mandated, you are looking at the official ND/ACC schedule through 2036 (ND football ain't joining).

That IS the $40 million question, isn't it?

I have never once really that this talk of P4 "champs only" was more than message board chatter.

I personally do not think that it will likely ever happen, even if the Big 12 breaks up.

giving the ACC a break-the-bank television deal with Texas on board that will blow the ACC members away.

I don't see that happening, at least not until Delaney leaves his position with The Big Ten. Delaney knows that if that happens before 2038, Notre Dame, that his conference covets, will be driven into the willing arms of The ACC.

I think the Big Ten is already coming around to the fact that Notre Dame will NEVER be a member of their conference... so at this point, it's just about what's best for the Big Ten (and ACC and SEC and Pac-12). If the Big XII loses its "power" status (i.e. Texas & OU leave), then I'm fairly confident a champs only model WILL happen.

TEN YEARS FROM NOW...

VT has 4 home 4 away. Does any other team play ND less than 9 times?

RE: Notre Dame vs. ACC Schedule 2026-37
Nothing new to see here.
Notre Dame is just confirming that 1) they will need cover to make the move to full membership (i.e. being excluded from the playoff picture, or NBC dropping them like a hot potato, etc.), and 2) a Notre Dame "move" won't be the catalyst for the next round of realignment.
That's status quo. TerryD is safe for a little while longer.

Between 2017-37 6 teams play them 7 times according to this list. In addition, GT only plays them 6 times. (Not counting the games already played.)
