With Valpo going into the Missouri Valley for basketball, the Rockets should schedule them for a four year, home and home, series. It's getting harder and harder to get MVC schools to come to MAC schools so let's lock up what could be a real nice annual non conf match up against a very solid mid major. Much rather see Valpo annually than Detroit Mercy.

I would much rather see Detroit Mercy for selfish reasons I work in downtown Detroit and I can watch the games up there in person.

I don't see the MAC add any basketball teams to the league. It seems that schools like Temple and UMass use the MAC to park their football teams within the conference, only to see them move away. So that is why I think the MAC will be very careful on expansion. I don't see any football colleges that would considered moving to the MAC with the exception of Youngstown State moving up to D1 status. But their basketball team doesn't add anything to the MAC. I brought up Western Kentucky U., but others on this site say they are to far south to be an idea member. I still like Marshall when they were in the MAC, but their football team has fallen on hard times compare to years past.

You don't move to MVC and schedule a four game series with a MAC school
