You've got a very good 2017 signing class with players like Sanford, Navigato, Knapke that will be Jrs and Srs. It's a matter of fitting the pieces together unless your just going to play one on one ball. It may not win a league but it might take the MAC.

According to verbalcommits, the Rockets have offered 28 players in the class of 2018, more than any other team in the conference. Hey, at least we're first in something.

As I recall, not too many of those offers were to true Centers/low post players? Unless they've added some lately?

at a 181 low center of gravity pounds, he can grab some space!

Yes, the list looks better with those inclusions, if some can be got.

It would be nice to see them land Rotroff. He is one of the best bigs in Ohio and local.
Bizeau is supposedly 6'10 not 5'10 but rail thin at 180ibs.

He reminds me of a Michigan or Michigan St type Kid. Hope I'm wrong, but I think he 's a prime time player at UT if he would come here

Hmmm - don't know what the Toledo connection is for this Seattle post player who has offers from Washington and Washington State

EYBL: 2018 Seattle center Nic Lynch showing progress, adding offers

JOSH GERSHON

EMERSON, Ga. - Nic Lynch has shown off his improved game at the Nike EYBL this weekend. He has a couple Pac-12 schools vying for his commitment.

One of the more improved centers on the west in 2018 has been Seattle Prep’s Nic Lynch.
The 6-foot-10, 255-pound center made the move to Seattle Rotary this spring and has shown progress with his skill set and mobility. He’s getting up and down the court better, rebounding his area and scoring inside with his size and hook shot.
“I feel like my game is coming along really well,” Lynch said. “I just switched to the EYBL this year, which has helped me a lot.
“I’m shooting the ball well from 15 to 17 feet. I’m rebounding well against more athletic guys. I want to keep expanding my range, footwork and athleticism.”
Lynch holds offers from Washington, Washington State, Columbia and Toledo, with the Huskies offer recently being reaffirmed by the new staff.

82 and 255 works, even if a clod.

Someone has to work to move him. Send him to the Nathan Booth/Steve Taylor school of the inside out passing game, and how to set screens. The vine seems picked, but they really need some sort of nose tackle. The big men of the MAC are licking their chops on how many ways to post up the Toledo stick men to create easy point in the paint layups and dunks.

I don't think the post is going to be very pretty for us next season.

Knapke played 5 minutes a game less than Boothe did as a Freshman and Luke's
Stats are more impressive. Especially when you look at shooting %.'s Moving him to the post and his ability to hit the trey will open up the inside for the Rockets. I'm not so worried.

I agree that Knapke will be a good player for us for the next 2 or 3 years. (If he's as good as we hope, the 3rd year will probably be spent at a bigger time school as a grad transfer.) The concern is who backs him up and who plays along side him at the 4 spot. Knapke fouled a lot last year. Also, Boothe improved dramatically during his time with the Rockets. You can't count on that kind of improvement from Knapke, although of course we can hope.

Knapke does some nice things. And he's capable of blocking 2 shots 6 minutes into a game. My question is what will we do when Knapke picks up his second foul 6 minutes into a game, more often than not if teams decide to attack him?

Better technique and playing smarter will probably reduce that tendency to pick up dumb fouls. Developing a good second unit also would go a long way to keep him out of foul trouble.
