Feel free to update it daily, or I will try to remember to do it...either way is fine! The MAC schools are (obviously) in bold. 115 days to go until the first "real" Saturday in college football! :-)

130. UAB
129. Texas State
128. Buffalo
127. New Mexico State
126. UNC-Charlotte
125. UMass
124. Georgia State
123. Fresno State
122. Kent State
121. UConn
120. Illinois
119. Kansas
118. Cincinnati
117. Utah State
116. Akron
115. Coastal Carolina
114. UTEP
113. UNLV
112. Idaho
111. Temple
110. Rice
109. Iowa State

Im only seeing 1 in the bottom 10 for #notunderstandingitsp4

this was explained in a post on 5-17-17. the guy who posted that miscounted, thinking Cincinnati was in the bottom 10 when in fact they are not.

Oops haha. My fault for not reading the whole thread. Thanks!

Quote:How Toledo and WMU are below Michigan State is beyond me.

I think it's understandable, given that MSU going 3-9 last year is way beyond me. I think it's an assumption that they won't be That bad this year, and the assumption is at least bowl-bound, with the opportunity for a little more. They're a question-mark, and due to going to the Final Four the year before last -- yeah, marking them in the above-average range (#50) is understandable.

But putting WMU a notch below average, and BSU a step ahead of them -- that's a head scratcher (although BSU's running game is good; their QB can only get better, and their coach should be propelling them upwards not downwards). And Toledo's just a hair above average (#58).

what's puzzling to me is that Orlando essentially picked Ball State second in the West while the MAC media picked them dead last...the least amount of points of all 12 teams. quite a discrepancy.

RE: 2017 Orlando Sentinel College Football Rankings
here's another reason to think this list is a little wacky. they have Penn State at #15 whereas seemingly every other preseason poll I've seen so far as had PSU in the top 5, 6, or 7.

again, a disclaimer, the only reason I am updating and following this list is the daily countdown aspect of it! lends to the build up of the upcoming season! :-)

Buffalo and Akron I believe will have better seasons/rankings than the list has them pegged at...

Its a P5 bias... Take a look at the massey composite rankings as the season moves forward and that will peg our squads more accurately.
UB 129
Kent 122
Ball State 110
Akron 105
BG 103
EMU 101
Miami 100
CMU 92
NIU 88
Ohio 82
Toledo 52
WMU 28
