Just temper that with the knowledge we gave up 40+ several times last year & we still don't have great depth of talent on the D. I'm guessing 10 wins but also being in the games we might lose at the end. Who knows with a little luck we could run the table & that would really be something special.

Tulane is going to punch well above that with Fritz in his second year there.

That's basically them making a huge assumption our QB is going to suck. Yeah, we're replacing all of our LBers, but they've all played. Secondary is intact. Pass rushers are a bit of a concern, but there is talent there. Offensive line is a big question, but we have great WRs and RBs. Might be more quick hitting offense than 20+ yard passes.

I don't see us going worse than 6-6, which isn't #111 in the country.

If they are right about your QB and the Oline question is not answered positively your RBs and Receivers will not matter.

But I just don't see last years Temple team falling apart that completely.

Is this just the Sentinel's writer's list? What's the criteria and analysis involved? I think this is much ado about nothing. I guess it's offseason though.

We're working on adding a JUCO OL from CA who had P5 offers out of HS. That would help. The QB is probably a working in progress no matter what. I think the offense should be pretty good. I just don't see how we win only 3-4 games.

RE: Tiger football and the Orlando Sentinel Countdown.
Based on what I saw at the Spring game our Defense is going to be a lot better than more folks believe. Actually, the D will be much better than last years. The redshirt freshmen along with the transfers have substantial more speed and quickness than we have had in a long time. Also, u have Jackson Dillion back which is HUGE. Depth want be problem considering the number of defensive players CMN brought in this year.

The one thing they need is real game experience. The first two games of the year will hopefully give them that leading to the UCLA game.

IMO... the UCLA game will determine the national perception of our program and a new years bowl slot!! We will beat UCLA barring no major injuries going into the game.

I hope UAB gets their 30k stadium next to the BJCC. After everything they've been through, I'd actually be happy for em'

purposed UAB stadium next to BJCC

then use it as bait to lure in a MLS team.

I'm calling BS on that.

Look, I know I'm an SMU fan but we aren't the 98th best team in the country. We've got possibly the single best player in the conference in Courtland Sutton, someone who is projected to be a first-round draft pick in '18, and return all the pieces on an offense that could average 500yds/game. We've got multiple all-conference defensive players and pick up a couple of transfers to help shore them up. If we show ANY improvement in defense and special teams we could win eight or nine games. We're in the 70's or possibly 60's.

So I'm sorry, but the OS is just flat wrong on this one.
