Look, I know I'm an SMU fan but we aren't the 98th best team in the country. We've got possibly the single best player in the conference in Courtland Sutton, someone who is projected to be a first-round draft pick in '18, and return all the pieces on an offense that could average 500yds/game. We've got multiple all-conference defensive players and pick up a couple of transfers to help shore them up. If we show ANY improvement in defense and special teams we could win eight or nine games. We're in the 70's or possibly 60's.

So I'm sorry, but the OS is just flat wrong on this one.

While I don't share your enthusiasm for SMU's season - it's just hard to after the past 2 years when we played you...I don't really get how the OS is qualified for anything meaningful when it comes to CFB rankings. I think it's just click bait to keep the readers coming back each day.

Yeah, SMU has managed to dog it the last two years against Memphis, that's for sure. Memphis has had the better team and our lack of depth has hurt us badly late in the season.

But SMU ain't the 98th best team in the nation this year.

But whatever. SMU hammered Houston last year, who beat Memphis, who thumped SMU. That's football.

They played Tulsa better, but still lost.

Yeah. They didn't beat anyone we didn't beat.

Nah. They are happy they are back.

It wasn't too long ago that it sucked to be a Memphis football fan.

Exactly if anyone would know we would.

Mostly it just makes me remember the times I got black out wasted in the Liberty Bowl, and then how I don't remember sh*t.
