RE: NFL Draft
More players were drafted out of the AAC than were drafted out of the Big 12. Unfortunately, that's less a feather in the cap for the American and more an indictment of the big 12.

Kind of shocked that Oregon and South Carolina had nobody taken in the draft.
Even in one of our worst years for the draft in recent memory, we still managed more than UK.

Agree on Oregon. On the flip, Meechigan had the most drafted this year. Gotta love ol' Jim "Woody Hayes" Harbaugh. Surprised a bit by Utah and Pitt...

Michigan: 11
Alabama: 10
Miami: 9
Utah: 8
Florida: 8
LSU: 8
Ohio State: 7
Tennessee: 6
North Carolina: 6
Clemson: 6
Pitt: 5
USC: 5
Texas A&M: 5
UCLA: 5
Washington: 5

Draftees By School

When you have a total 40+ seniors and RS seniors in addition to underclassmen, not surprised they had close to a dozen drafted at MI.

Saw a rumor that he got a tryout with the Bengals. I could be wrong though. Someone's gonna see what he's got.

He and a lot of other Bearcats had a tryout with the bengals a few weeks ago. The bengals released their list of UFA and Gunner wasn't on it. Sadly, I don't think anybody has picked Gunner up. Who knows if any team will...

Good going, TT.

RE: NFL Draft
Most of our guys who signed as undrafted FA have been quality players the last couple years. Gunner hasn't been good since 2014 and had the undisclosed missed bowl game in 2015. Not surprised he hasn't gotten an undrafted FA deal. Hope for the best for him but his best pro option would be arena league or Canada.

Reset in cfl or arena league might be in order. Hopefully he can put up big digits and get a shot at the nfl.

No doubt about that.

I hope like crazy that one day Gunner makes it to an NFL roster, works his way up a depth chart, makes a few starts, succeeds and becomes the full time starter on that roster or elsewhere... Just to rub it all in Tommy Tupperware's disgusting, smug face.

Cool draft history link:

Draft Picks By School

Scroll down to 114 for the Bearcats. The 2009 class had the most picks (6) highlighted with Connor Barwin in Round 2. In 2012, two second rounders were selected - Derek Wolfe and Isaiah Pead. Derek was the highest selection taken in the modern era that I could find - 4th pick of the second round. Artrell Hawkins also drafted in second round (1998).

Confirmation from Jeremy Rauch.

For those wondering/asking, Gunner Kiel is still playing the waiting game. No teams have made offer to #Bearcats UFA. @fox19

Usually, teams will take a shot with a guy with a good arm. Maybe he had terrible workouts or interviews.

Define Modern Era. Heck, I'm old enough to remember Greg Cook who was drafted #5 overall in 1969 by the Bengals.

Is it really a "congratulations" to be picked up by the Browns??? Just sayin'...

(But seriously, CONGRATULATIONS!)

Knowing that Greg Cook was a R1 pick, I think your interpretation of "the modern era" might raise some eyebrows around here...
