He's already ran off better recruits than he will ever get here in the future (Dedric, KJ and Markel), not to mention other top recruits that Keelon would've brought (Jonathon, Chandler, Jefferies, and more)... but he's gonna do it with 3 stars and jucos that nobody else wants....gimme a break
Just 3 or 4 years ago we were averaging 16k per game...Opie destroyed that and this guy is only continuing the destruction. And he's being paid (3million per) like a top 10 coach. What a joke.
at some point Memphis fans are going to have to look in the mirror and understand that Josh Pastner and Tubby Smith aren't the issue...the issue is looking them right in the face.

The AAC will have plenty of top 100 teams, half the conference seem between 65 - 100 at some point last year.
You really can't pick the number of wins until we see what we get in conference.

Nope. Everything will boil down to forum attendance (as mentioned by mr bwj) Bottom line is money.
Will attendance increase, decrease or stay the same.

UConn and Temple were not good last season.
Then you still have an entire schedule you are overlooking.
Take out those 6 good teams you listed and how many does that leave you? 20+? yep.

Has the 2017-18 scheduled been released? I do not see it at: http://www.gotigersgo.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball.
Realistically, it will be a challenge to win one more game than last year with a roster full of inexperienced three stars and JUCO's.

No, a lot of the schedule was locked in a couple of years in advance. Tubby really has very limited influence on the teams we play. There are only a couple of slots left available. The admin talked about it not long ago and basically said we are stuck because p5s don't want to play us home and home and we are required to have 18 home games each season so we are stuck with a lot of buy games at this point.

Who gives a flying flip about the miserables? They're SEC fans in disguise. To not support this program, team, or coaching staff speaks volumes relative to real fans vs fair weather/bandwagon azzholes...point blank. Go Tigers!!

You didn't support Pastner, I guess that means you are a SEC fan in disguise. You didn't support the coaching staff, the team, or the progam. You see how that works?
If it was OK for you to not support the coaching staff but still be a fan, how do you say that others who do not support the coaching staff are not fans?

One guy had seven seasons and was treated with kid gloves. He's so nice. He's so nice. The other guy started getting ripped minutes after he was hired.
Question, will you quit the bashing if he's winning and having a good season and lands some good recruits like Lomax? Or will you continue your stance?

RE: Finish the following sentences:
Isn't the base period for his contract 5 years?
He will be a success if he is still coaching here at the end of his basic contract period. He can then retire having been a successful coach and rebuilding the brand.
He will be a failure if he doesn't make it to the end of the contract period, because he screwed the pooch and got booted early. His legacy will then be determined by the last place he coached (here) and he will have to live with that failure on his head. Unless someone else is desperate enough to take him off our hands.
I'm rooting for him to be a success of such magnitude that someone lures him away early and we can move onward and upward from there. I can dream, can't I?
