I'm surprised nobody brought this up after you did.

The simple answer is yes.

It's an important part of this whole conversation that goes way beyond the mental capacity of people like John Oliver who oversimplifies everything.

I'm against that type of gerrymandering too.

Truth is both parties love gerrymandering. Dems do it to be "fair" GOP does it to level the playing field. Both parties should allow for geography and population size alone to determine districts and leave subgroups out of it

So mr "neutral observer", do you really believe that it's one sided or that the republicans "started it"....

The Democratic principal against gerrymandering is the same as the GOP position... "ok for us, wrong for the other guys". It has always been that way.

Don't twist my words. I didn't say anything about who started Gerrymandering. What I said was, even if Democrats(or Republicans but that's not the example we are discussing) think Gerrymandering is wrong, they would still be smart to take advantage of it as long as it's legal. Otherwise, they are letting the other party use the legal cheat code to rig elections.

Ok, the "or republicans" is kind of important...

Only if you're trying to catch me in a trap. We were specifically talking about Democrats...

If I was "tyring to catch you", then I would not have asked

I live in IL. Boss Madigan has been in power over the state for 40 years. He is a D. The state is in its worse shape ever.

I cannot stand gerrymandering. I cannot stand how the D's have turned my state into a shithole!

I am hoping that with Trump, my property value can rise enough to sell and go south. TX, FL anywhere but IL!
