Sad story. If only he stayed for his senior season...what could have been! He was one of the most, if not the most electrifying players to ever don the midnight blue & gold.

anyone know if he graduated? Hopefully this was just a stupid act that was fueled by an indulgence in beverages known to make you become temporarily stupid.

At that time Page left, I think he was greatly disillusioned, perhaps naively so, about by the manner and speed of Beckman's departure from UT. I think Page bought into all that preaching about team first, togetherness, etc, etc. so I think that Beckman's departure may have hit him harder than most. I seem to remember he made some comment on facebook or some such venue that Beckman's quick departure had shown him that underneath all the talk of team and togetherness it was really "every man for himself"----those are my words, not Pages' but that's what I took away from his post at the time as being his thoughts --so in that frame of mind he made probably the mistake of his life in coming out early for the NFL draft---of course there were a lot of people (potential agents among other) blowing sunshine up his derriere about how high he might go in the draft. Anyway I always figured that he would have stayed for his senior year had Beckman stuck around. It didn't work out too well for Page or Beckman, and I do feel bad for Page but not so much for Beckman, who should have known better.

True, but Stutz was gone after that season so Page never actually played for Stutz, only Beckman

He had to be re-recruited by Beckman because he was getting a fair amount of attention from Michigan. That was the year Stutz beat Michigan in the Big House and finished with a 3-8 season and was fired. UM also went 3-8, but it was the first year for RichRod and he stayed on.
