You are more optimistic than most aggie fans.

RE: GCU Incoming Transfers
Crimson Phantom has been whining incessantly since Jan's has been hired. Judging Jan's for what he has done or hasn't done is absurd and ridiculous. A true assessment can't be made for awhile. I guess CP showed his opinion when he called Jan's a predator for patting a women's @ss. Definitely not condoning this behavior but a predator? Or whining because of transfers which is quite common with a coaching change? Let's see if I'm banned now.

Well there was a poster on another board who asked to be banned for lent!
You are entitled to your opinion as am I.
I am sorry to the GCU fans for going off topic in this thread about your recruits. I will not continue to derail your discussion.

RE: GCU Incoming Transfers
I love the Benson addition, though that means we still have yet to hear about which 2 scholarships are being pulled to make way for him and one of the 2017 kids.
I'll keep saying what I've consistently said about the future of the WAC: To be the best, you have to beat the best. Maybe CSUB feels they can make that case, but no GCU players, coaches, or fans should be going to get fitted for a crown just yet.
If we're a kitchen, every program is just stocking the fridge & pantry right now. Nobody knows what their meal is going to taste like just yet. Of the ingredients we see, maybe we could imagine which will be more appetizing, but we could also be way off.
Maybe Jans is like a chef on Chopped, who opens his basket to find a fruit roll up, pork rinds, a geoduck, kiwis, and a tube of toothpaste, but somehow pulls something delicious out of nowhere.
I'm not writing anybody off. I'm not writing anybody in as WAC champs. Let's just see how the recipes come together when the stove is finally turned on again in November.

1. GCU (added the most and didn't lose a lot)
2. CSUB (i've been over it too many times lol)
3. NMSU (this is more contingent on if more leave, we'll see)
4. UVU (solid team but haven't been there yet, experience matters)
5. Seattle (step up this year but should be a lot better next year)
6. UTRVG (wouldn't surprise me if they finish above .500)
7. UMKC (massive step down, no replacements for those leaving)
8. Chicago State (sorry Josh)
Here's mine and both Frank and Clarity will probably have a hissy fit.
1. Utah Valley (this team is loaded and almost everyone back from Final four CIT or CBI or whatever that tourney was)
2. GCU-(Lot's of unknowns but Majerle is a good coach. Losing Dwayne Russell is huge. Look at the percentage of offense he was last year. Pray that Tony Romo Braun doesn't get hurt)
3. CSUB (losing Basil and Arrington is huge as well. Basil IMO was probably under utilized and he was the best guard in the WAC last year IMO. I know Clarity wants to have Rod Barnes baby but I don't see him winning as many games with this group. I don't care what that freshman guard numbers were)
4. NMSU-program in shambles. I expect losing more players and unless Jans pulls a rabbit out of hat to many unknowns to pick them higher.
5. Seattle-unknowns but new coach is recruiting impressively. See them in the mix
6. UMKC- Terrible
7. UTRGV-Terrible
8. Chicago State-on life support and the pulse just stopped and the doctors are using the crash cart on this university and it's athletics
(I brought this over from the Aggie transfer thread, as it seemed more appropriate here)
Lots of unknowns? The only thing I feel like we don't know is which 2 non-contributing players lost their scholarship to one of the 4 additions this off-season. Sure, losing Russell stings, but it's not like he was the WAC POY or anything (Hahahahahaha).
Meanwhile, GCU adds one of the best 2017 players in CA (Milstead), a high-major player who has led the nation in A/TO ratio (Benson) & two European bigs (Lever & Blumbergs) with lots of upside. I'd put that class up against any other team's additions for 2017-18.
