Not at all. You never have, and never will see me predict that Coastal is going bowling this year.
I just think it's inaccurate to just dismiss Coastal and say, "can't go bowling this year."
That's just not entirely true.
I'm being very honest with my expectations. I think we could win as few as 3 games this year, but we could also come out gang busters and win 7. The reality is probably somewhere in between.

Several more mention that UTSA has now matched that NCAA record. Now if your argument is that the world is wrong and should change to see your pony of view then congrats, you are now qualified to be the POTUS. LOL.

If you ignore the date of the bowl game and count from the first football season, State, South, and UTSA are all tied. All three went to a bowl game in their sixth year of competition.
USA's first year as a program was against prep schools, JVs, etc and actually was a redshirt year for the players. The first official year of competition was 2010 when they faced NCAA competition. Therefore their bowl came in their fifth season.
I am willing to let you have this win if we can stop talking about it.

I'm glad to drop it, but you're not giving me the win. The facts give me the win.
BTW, I do agree that USA and GaSt have a rivalry in football. It's not the top one for either of us, but it definitely exists.
I know how it is. I have facts in my head that say i am the Emperor of Egypt, world opinion be damned. ?

Just like GaSo winning the conference title their first year. App and GaSo were bowl eligible and sat at home.
Apples and oranges. More bowl games now. Higher chance there won't be enough 6 win teams.
It is absolutely true that Coastal may not win 6 games, and it's also true that even if we do, there is a chance we won't go bowling.
But to say that because App and GS didn't get to go somehow automatically means Coastal can't / won't is to not understand the difference in landscape.
Same $20 I bet panama I will extend to you my good Coastal friend.

Same here. We have 5th year Sr QB returning along with a good chunk of the OL, much of the D, and a great recruiting class. No idea how we stack up but I don't think we are automatically disqualified from making a bowl this year.

I thought you said you were letting this go.....
Those "facts" in your head are actually better known as opinions. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. The actual facts are the dates in the article I posted.
Now can we drop it?

I'll take this in a heartbeat. Having Texas a Texas stop is nice for us, AState and ULM consider considering the other bowls were Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama.
All we need now is 6-7 wins.....
Houston Baptist- W
@ Colorado -L
App - L
UTSA - W (seriously, dysfunction or not we better not lose to those ********)
@ Wyo - L
ULM - W
@ ULL - L
@ Coastal - W
NMST - W
GA St - W
@ Astate - L
@ Troy - L
Come on Maroon Koolaid

Gimme some of that koolaid. I'd honestly be okay if the only wins we had were against HBU and UTSA because I only expect us to beat HBU

Isn't next year your last transition year? Isn't there some sort of rule saying you "can't go bowling" in transition? Maybe I'm mistaken...

Generally speaking, we don't recommend placing monetary bets on here. One, there's no way to force someone to pay, 2. It treads close to the line on gambling, which isn't allowed here.

Don't bet against Coastal's coaching staff, I'll say that.
(Before long I'm going to be turning into the Seminole Indian of Coastal's coaching staff.)

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but we will most likely get B$&ch Slapped by the Runners. . . . Who qualified for a bowl this past season . . . while we resided in the Basement of the conference we currently occupy (believe we were 0 fer in conference).
And while normally; I wouldn't put much stock in "the past" having a bearing on the future, it's been a long time since we've shown an ability to beat a decent team . . .
Hell, it's been awhile since we've shown an ability to beat a crappy team. . . .
I don't think even "Maroon Koolaid" will change what will likely be a Fugly outcome.
Though after, we may want some of that stuff they drank in South America circa 1979.
