I hope you are right, that will mean that the AAC isn't sending a team there in 17,18 and 19. Start a new Bowl between the MWC and AAC to take the place of Poinsetta and MBB Bowls openings.

Yeah MWC would be better than the current setup. Still not sure about the stadium though. I guess a baseball stadium isn't much better though.

RE: Miami Beach Bowl
So a bowl supposed to be a showcase bowl for the AAC vs a P5 turns into this:
2017: AAC vs the Belch
2018: AAC vs Maction
2019: AAC vs The Belch
In beautiful Frisco, Texas in a 20,500 seat soccer stadium on a weekday. Ick.

MWC 1/2 vs AAC 1/2 every year in the Las Vegas Bowl is what should happen. It would be two top 30 teams with double digit wins every year.

USF beating a horrible Gamecock football team did little for them. Bowl games should be for teams with winning records.

Screw it, then schedule the game at The New Mexico Bowl. Anything but this. Small fry, bush league.

Could be further indication of the American being "married" to ESPN. I think most signs point to the American signing an extension with ESPN for their TV contract. In that case, a bidding war would not take place.

I hope Tulsa never gets matched up with a MAC team in a bowl again. The MBB was such a mismatch we had to put our punter in at QB in the fourth quarter just to get him on the field.

It's one of Dallas' many overgrown suburbs with amenities that confuses people on where exactly it is and why it isn't in Dallas or Fort Worth, such as what has happened to you.

Where the fug is Frisco, Texas?

Dallas

When did they rename it?

Sad to have to disagree with you but we played before a larger crowd of SC fans at that bowl and got more press on it than when we played in MBB vs a better WKU squad. The sad reality is that a bowl vs a 6-6 P5 school will trump in fan support, tv coverage mist if not all games vs a G4 school

As for this bowl. I always liked the idea of the league showcasing and growing a bowl, but the problem was that Miami has failed in supporting even better bowls at better tv times before. It was a bad location with no AAC schools based there. it was basically driven by a USF alum that sold the city of Miami Beach even though bowl wasn't played there and the Marlins to support such a bowl. He left the MBB last year and the Marlins are up for sale so not surprised this bowl has moved on.

Agree.

I don't mind when the MWC Champ plays the AAC #6 but no reason to commit our better teams. Those MWC games will always be there in a pinch.

Look, your Western Champ lost to a CUSA team. Silliness.

You have two Bowl Games lined up against the SEC and ACC. If you are happy playing horrendous P5 teams that is on you. I live in South Carolina. Gamecock fans laugh at the joke their team was this year.

Anyway, I digress. Looks like the AAC is married to ESPN. Let me know how that works out when the "bidding war" commences.

Fair enough if that is your opinion in your first paragraph.

Your second paragraph makes you sound like Hillary Clinton.
