Of course, Biloxi won't be all that neutral.
If Charlotte continues to have progress in their program, I wouldn't mind it at the minor league park there.
our support is decent, but I don't think it'd be a big draw like it would be in miss or Houston. Inwoulsnt complain if it were here of course, just don't think it is the best option.

Also sarcastically by USM fans when we blow or choke away a game.

Thanks, guys!! Right you are, usm99: I immediately thought of "Coogin' It" as I read Beagle's reply. :-)
I love how fans repurpose marketing slogans. Rice fans now invoke our university's "Unconventional Wisdom" catch phrase when our coaches call plays that seem to all in the stands to be destined to fail (and then do fail).
Now, when La Tech screws the pooch, we called it TTTech! Coming soon to a message board near you: NTTTSU, UTTTSA, MTTTSU (they MTTTSU'd yesterday) UTTTep and CharloTTTe!

It would take a large investment of time and money to host the C-USA Tourney at the Knights ballpark. I am sure that the current administration is not interested.
I'd like to see us host a Friday or Saturday night C-USA game Uptown though. I think a game uptown vs Rice, USM, or Marshall would draw well on a weekend. Marshall has a large alumni base in Charlotte.

RE: Looking Ahead to the Baseball Tournament
Slow day so I decided to look at the past 2 years tournament seedings as that's the time frame that all the current CUSA teams have been involved:
Seeding-2015-2016------team in bold won the tournament
1 - Rice - FAU
2 - FAU - Marshall
3 - USM - USM
4 - MT - Rice
5 - UTSA - LT
6 - UAB - ODU
7 - ODU - FIU
8 - FIU - Charlotte
DNQ - 9/10/11/12th place in regular season
2015 - Marshall/Charlotte/WKU/LT
2016 - UAB/WKU/UTSA/MT

Yeh, its bad. Real bad. It has been an embarrassing season.
Not as bad as us. Our pitching is horrific.
We were once upon a time a proud, successful baseball program.
And we have a seemingly strong prep baseball area.........

If your pitching staff had any control, you guys would be a really solid team--middle of the pack in the conference, at least.
Yeah, you could say that for a lot of teams but it is different for MTSU because the strikeout numbers are so good. Your coach hit the jackpot on guys with nasty "stuff" but zero control.
We had the same issue with our bullpen a before a couple of years ago. The difference was that we always had a dominant front line starter or two that kept those guys off the mound.

Thing is, several of our "wild" pitchers have been drafted over the past couple of years and they seem to regain control once they hit the minors.

RE: Looking Ahead to the Baseball Tournament
D1 Baseball has a column about C-USA. I can only read part of it without a subscription.
https://d1baseball.com/columns/usmcusamay22017/
With just three weeks until the Conference USA tournament, the league has a tight race with four teams within two games of first place. At this point, every team has had their slip-ups and each program tries to connect some victories down the stretch to earn a postseason berth.
Southern Miss has led the conference much of the season. The Golden Eagles enter this weekend’s showdown with second place Florida Atlantic a game up on the Owls in the standings. Old Dominion and Charlotte are each two games back.

IMO the only way we will host is for the following to happen:
- finish remaining 10 games with an 8-2 record (FAU x3, UAB x3, SE Louisiana (RPI 38) @neutral site x1, @UTSA x3 -- the UAB and UTSA series are must sweeps IMO, sweep or win 2 vs FAU and I feel the SE La game can be a loss
- at the CUSA tourney make it to championship Sunday with only possible loss being our first game Saturday which would be a 3-1 record going into the CUSA CG
That would put us at 45-15 (currently 34-12) going into the CUSA CG assuming we make it.

We absolutely cannot lose to UAB. RPI would drop 10 spots.
