RE: 4/21 - 4/23 weekend CUSA baseball
My .02 cents thoughts on the weekend series:

Rice (4-11) at WKU (4-11)
The battle for last place in Bowling Green. Rice has rotated Ws and Ls in its last 13 games as well as they've gone 1-2 each weekend the last 3 weekends with the wins all coming in the 2nd game of the series. WKU has been swept at home in it's previous 2 CUSA weekend series (USM and Charlotte).

FAU (11-4) at UTSA (7-8)
FAU comes into the weekend on a 2 game losing streak which comes after they had won 10 of their previous 12. They've gone 2-1 in each of the last 4 CUSA weekend series. UTSA has rotated Ws and Ls in its last 8 and sports a 9-10 home record this season.

MT (7-8) at Charlotte (9-6)
MT was killed in its last game 21-2 but in the previous 5 it was MT putting up double digit runs, all of which were MT wins. Charlotte has won 5 of its last 6 which followed losing 5 of 6.

ODU (10-5) at USM (12-3)
ODU comes into the game playing .500 ball in their last 10 while not playing a midweek game this week. On the other hand, USM played both Tuesday and Wednesday on the road this week. After starting the season with a 17-2 home record, USM is currently on a 2 game home losing streak.

UAB (5-10) at La Tech (6-9)
UAB has gone 2-7 in it's last 3 CUSA weekend series and has lost 5 straight CUSA road games. La Tech started CUSA play 2-7 but has won it's last 2 series 2 games to 1 with both losses coming in the middle game. La Tech has been on the road for 8 of its last 9 overall games.

FIU (8-7) at Marshall (7-8)
FIU has won 6 of its last 7 games as well as 4 straight game 3s in CUSA action. Marshall has lost 4 of its last 5 and in those losses they gave up 7 or more runs each time. The 1 win was a 7-0 shutout.

Charlotte and MTSU will play tonight, and then have a double header starting at 2:00 tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to this series, especially tomorrow. We have our football spring game tomorrow, so hopefully we will have a good crowd for at least one of the games.

Rice beats WKU in game 1, 8-4. Toppers now in sole possession of last place (and Owls in sole possession of 11th!).

Coming into this game, USM had scored 45 percent of their runs with two out

All eight so far have come tonight with two outs.

Eagles lead ODU 8-2 in the fourth.

This happens when your head coach leaves the starter in for 11 hits, 6 earned runs, and 0 strikeouts. He refuses to pull a starter. Meanwhile our batters are swinging at pitches 4 feet outside of home plate to srike out with runners in scoring position.

Bad combination of ignorance all around.

Just move Nate Harris to Friday already.

That crap drove me insane when we did it with McMahon in 2015.

UAB 14 - Tech 8 through 7 complete. We got back in it on a flea-flicker and 2-point conversion.

wallner has been an amazing surprise......now guidry has been added to that category....

1000th win for Brian Shoop tonight. Congrats to him.

His career record there (around .500) might not show it, but he does a good job at UAB.

Bainbridge had not given up an earned run in 31 innings.

USM jumped on him for four before he recorded an out. Matt Wallner with a two-run triple.

4-0 USM after one.

Bainbridge has settled in.

USM has starting pitching issues. Keys was bumped to the pen after last week. Now 13 runs in his last six innings for Roberts.

7-4 ODU.
