That man is the reason I'm a Bearcat fan. Great story, and a beautiful family......

Hats off to the guy - he is an outlier.

If an EE degree isn't the most challenging academic path you could pursue at UC. I don't know what is.

But getting an EE degree while doing everything it takes to play high level D1 basketball?

Not many could handle that load and challenge

not surprising the guy continues to be a star.

EE/CompE are the most difficult. I'm currently struggling through year 4. One more!

RE: Roger McClendon Career Update
It wasn't easy for Roger. He was in my freshman class (we graduated in 1989, Roger graduated in 1991). Roger slowly fell behind the rest of our class, and I know my wife says he came up before the Engineering Tribunal for a warning once (not that big of a deal, more of a "get on the stick" type of warning. I had several friends who graduated on time also come before the Tribunal).

Anyway, I went through Engineering at the same time without the time sink of playing D1 basketball at Roger's high level and I don't know how he did it. He has all my respect in the world.

If you haven't committed to a job yet, shoot me a PM.

Medical Surgical Device manufacturer (I work for the company) EE. Important to note that you would have to move to Southern California HQ (Orange County).

Company loves to recruit UC - We have several engineers that are Bearcats and still big time fans.

bb51, thanks for posting.

Anyone who has met Roger knows what a gentleman and a fine person he is.

At UC, one has to earn the degree -- it is not given away like candy. Yet another reason why I am proud to be an alum and a Bearcat fan.

RE: Roger McClendon Career Update
Roger is a first class person, ambassador to our university, and a fine example to all of our student athletes. I am fortunate to have gotten to know and work with him for several years now.
