That's a solid Navy writeup.

It was a good writeup, but the author has a serious error in judgement. Ivan Jasper is an overpaid far below average coach. The rest of the nation should be thankful that Navy is willing to keep him on staff so he doesn't infect their programs with a gimmicky high school offense. They should feel fortunate that we aren't asking anyone to subsidize his salary just to keep them safe.

I think Tulsa's season truly rests on the QB. The receiving corps will be fine and I think the running game will be at least as good as last season. If the QB can get the ball to the playmakers and not turn it over it could be a great season. If the QB turns the ball over or has a completion percentage under 60 it could be a long season. I feel that with what is returning on the O-line the former is the more likely outcome.

I agree except the part about the completion %. Last year Dane's percentage was 59.5% according to ESPN, and we all saw how well that went. They set an NCAA record. If our QB can be around 55% we'll be in good shape.

Having this O-line will help tremendously. A good line can make ok QB's and RB's look great.

The accuracy % isn't the only important metric though. Dane averaged 10 interceptions per season under Monty over two seasons. We need whoever steps into the role to limit turnovers. Our offense can't afford to miss scoring opportunities because of our pace.

Hey Kruciff - since you added the Navy link to the original, you need to edit the subject line, too. These Tulsane fans think we're still here to talk about them.

True. Hopefully the line can give them plenty of time to make good reads and accurate throws.

Really, only UConn is guaranteed to be bad next year. Everyone else would be mid range or better in any other (G4) conference I feel.

You never posted ours.

Our what? The preview is right there

I followed the link and didn't see ours.

Man, that thing has been harder to find than a UCF win in 2015. 04-cheers It showed up when I clicked it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Must have left the gazebo lights off :)

Matt Murschell's credibility takes another hit. Cinci is worse than Indiana, Rutgers, FAU, FIU, Marshall, and others this year, according to him.

that's like worse then uconn, ik they had a bad season but they have a new coaching staff and a solid recruiting class. There is no reason for them to be ranked in the 100s

As a UC fan/alum, I think we finish with 7-9 wins. A lot of this depends on whether Torrance Gibson gets his affairs and orders and the staff puts him at QB in the fall.

Even without Gibson this team gets to the seven win mark. They will win a couple more games on intensity and effort alone. What's more UC lost a couple games each of the last two seasons on ****** special teams play. With this staff's focus on the position group (remember Fickell studied under Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer, I don't think that is going to happen this year.

Huh? USA today refers to Boise as the highest ranked GROUP OF 5 team - I thought there were only 4 - Who could that 5th conference possibly be?

some people get the big 122 mixed up.. just an error. no need to fret

but a side note Myerberg has a love affair with boise. they always over hype them. in 2015 he said boise was going to the playoffs, they had like 8 wins ...
how to you justify boise at 16, they just got beat bad by a bad baylor

It was a long season last year. There is no denying UC has some serious trouble on offense.

I find #118 a little hard to believe though.

I've heard of Boise, got some big ass potatoes ?
Where are my fellow cougar posters?
Man there are some stupid pre season predictors. Our conference IS trending up, a lot of people don't want to see us get better because they can't handle their p5 teams being abused by us, they want to be like us, play like us, but they can never be like us, we are real Americans , the p5 Florida schools are especially frightened by the bulging emergence of UCF and USF football teams to the point that they have to accept being subordinate little b***h, this is a feeling they are familiar with, now they have to live with this reality everyday
Wow now Iam Hungery for some oranges and a huge plate of stone crab with that whipped butter in white wine sauce OMG!
Today BBQ will take a back seat...
Oh and some 16 ounce coconuts too can't forget to put the lime in the coconut and drink them both up when you've been in green park too long
Does anybody know where " green park" in Florida is ?, and what would you see there?
