Don't ask what your conference can do for you, ask what you can do for your conference

If Memphis loses to UCLA it would be a bad sign for the conference. Just like if Colorado State loses at Home to Oregon State it would look bad for the MW.

Both UCLA and Oregon State were ineffective last year, but are projected to be much better this season.

The plus side to this season for me at lest is seeing our stud DT Oliver going after everyone's QB's and show them who is boss.

Totally agree with you though, complete overhaul almost everywhere... I see us finishing at 7 - 5 and winning our bowl game.

Back to our big gun Oliver... I think if he mirrors last season's performance and stays injury free we may have another Houston Heisman. That would be freaking cool... Go Coogs 04-rock

He would have to break the Sack record and Houston would have to win 10 games for him to get to NYC. I sure hope that happens.

Ucla still has Josh Rosen who is projected a top 5 pick..Ucla is full of 5 star recruits... No one will look at Ucla as being bad.. even if they were..
Your MWC bias is ridiculous.. Oregon state and Ucla aren't in the same hemisphere in comparison to perception

How'd Oliver do in that SMU game last year? I really don't remember, but we will have a better Oline this year and a quicker Offense. Rad RBs and WRs. Better beat us with your QB rather than your D. We'll see.

Big ED will have Competition with that heisman trophy with a team mate Kyle Allen at qb, so if there are any AAC questions about where to play our CCG, y'all " you guys" know it's gonna be in Houston most years
Let that sink in...

I'd like you to know that SMU was " allowed to beat Houston" this is ESPNs fault and the playoff committees desire for fear that Houston was too good and wanted to make sure to keep us down and away from any playoff talk, now I don't want to hear that we all ready lost before you, it doesn't matter because Iam moving to Egypt by denial...
just saying...

I am not optimistic about our season. At all. I think every unit is very average except for our D-Line, which should be excellent. I haven't seen enough of Allen to know one way or the other. I'm also not sold on Applewhite. Closing the regular season at 7-5 wouldn't shock me.

I could see anything from 4-0 to 0-4. I don't know what to expect after San Diego State.

Yeah, it really is a toss up, but if we go undefeated then I'll say, " I told you so"

You may operate on perception. I operate on results. Oregon State won three conference games last year. UCLA won two. UCLA has about six wins on their schedule this year. Oregon State has close to the same number. They are both potential Bowl Teams. Nothing more.

And how do you get offended by my comparison? I am simply saying that both teams are playing middling PAC 12 teams at Home. Thus, it will show us where both conferences are at, since most think Memphis and CSU are top three or four in each respective conference. This reminds me of a week ago when the Democrats praised Trump for launching Tomahawks then in the same sentence, questioned the legality of it. Can't win.

we were both clearly referencing perception..how the losses would look bad for the aac and the mw (bolded abve)

you completely changed the complete meaning of the conversation

you basically insinuated memphis losing to ucla would be a bad sign and a bad look or our conference (ironically in a different thread said uclas was going to beat memphis)

losing to ucla will not even remotely be viewed as a bad sign by anyone at all becuase of their brand, and recruit quality....similar to ND, you could lose to a 3 win ND and the national media would not knock you a single point

oregon state is the complete opposite...you could lose to a 8 win Oregon state and would be crucified if you are trying to be portrayed as elite

No, the loses will show where both programs are at compared to a middling PAC 12 team. Which in turn, reflects on both conferences.

Just looked it up. I see seven wins for UCLA. Six for Oregon State.
