This is a good thing for this conference, we need any kind of press we can get even if he is only here one season...

Yep, hoping that coupled with MTSU's recent success, Western, ODU, UTEP, UAB, MU, etc can step up and get some OOC wins to get the buzz going with CUSA men's bb again. I think the individual schools will probably have to do this - (sadly) without much tangible help from the league office

Welp, the CUSA 6th man of the year just got booted from ODU. Given how important his contributions were this past season and the match-up problem he presented to most teams, it'll be tough for ODU fans to get too optimistic regarding next season.

I'm sure Robinson will do great things at WKU, but can we tap the breaks and let him play a game first

What?! And put the breaks on the Top's recruiting express? (Wink). Seriously, I've been a Western fan for years and I've seen how defeat can be snatched from the jaws of victory at this level. I'm cautiously optimistic, only because Stansberry has signed LOI's, so the big boys can't snatch them away. I still feel the whole conference needs to step up their game's. We have a problem when the SB's Conference RPI is better than ours

I'm not arguing that, I'm just saying that a bunch of highly ranked guys never work out and just see Robinson does before saying it's changing the league's perception

I agree to an extent. The one thing that John Calipari and the one and done landscape has done is make the AAU/recruiting mindset, probably equal to winning actual games. I sure don't agree with it, as it makes the other 99% of college players who don't get drafted, perceived by the media as irrelevant. Sadly, it's what the casual fan believes. We all know that barring injury, Robinson will play his 30+ games and be on his way. My hope is that his signing will start to change the perception of WKU and CUSA

Not really. Didn't WKU hire his relative as a assistant?
Tech landed Paul Millsap the same way, yes four-time all star Paul Millsap
