He's still marketing our program. Sportscenter just showed some clips from Minnesota's spring game (!) but not until after showing clips from our program last year.

Come on WMU.

Minnesota won nine games including bowl last year.

If Fleck has a bad first year this time won't be able to blame it on what he inherited.

The guy has an absolute knack for marketing. He had fans on the field attempting to field punts; hilarity ensued; and I'm sure he made certain someone reached out to ESPN with the footage.

Lester doesn't need to be the one keeping us out there, but SOMEONE should be. The more momentum we maintain, the more opportunities.

Whatever you think of Fleck, he's a program marketing genius. He did great by us.

Watched much of his game-jumping back and forth from the Blackhawks disaster-and he's classic PJ. All over the field and talking to reporters.

I think this is where Fleck's mantras and shtick is headed. Even if some found it hokey and such, at least it was all fresh and noteworthy at WMU. And maybe it'll still have some novelty at Minnesota. But with each passing year and each coaching gig (especially if employed at a traditional blue-blood football school), everyone will be saturated with it and you gotta wonder how effective those slogans will be.

If he wins a championship, they will be effective.

Fleck won the first MAC Championship in 28 years at WMU. It clearly was NEVER gonna happen with his predecessor, regardless of how well he was liked.
