It might revive the film industry in Wilmington with all the quality reality TV shows you could create with the disfunction run amok.

Did we make #1?!?!? Wooooo!

Probably. Eastern NC is pretty depressing until you get to the coast. I know there are a few other communities that have some decent economic activity, but by and large, eastern NC is a downtrodden place.

I wouldn't say depressing. I would say rural and beautiful. There are some dumps, for sure... but there are dumps everywhere.

It just depends on what you like. I like rural.

I have to agree with Niner. If I'm looking for rural land it's going to be in the mountains. Rural ENC might as well be poorer version of Kansas with a lot more humidity.

You guys just talked me into it. I'm taking the 7 minute drive from my house right now before they run out because last time I went out there at quarter to one and they only had chicken left. FTR, I also love skylight inn out in Ayden just as much.

Pete Jones has inflated their prices too much and don't even get me started on Sam Jones. Moore's is much better anyway. I'm interested to see how the new Parkers location will do near Sam and Moore's. Seems risky to jump into that market when there are other areas that could've used it instead. Also Main Street closed down cause they picked a piss poor location.

In East Carolina, barbecue can only be made from pulled or preferably chopped pork (sorry Memphis), using the "whole hog" (no hams or shoulders only), and must be cooked over wood coals or charcoal at a minimum. Sauce applied to any food product sold as barbecue must contain vinegar. No food or other product containing tomato based sauce can be labeled as "barbecue". The word "barbecue" can only be used as a noun, never as a verb, in advertising or labeling of any food described as barbecue.

As a regional appellation, the term "East Carolina Barbecue" (formerly Eastern North Carolina Barbecue) can only be applied to barbecue produced by the above stated methods in the counties east of or adjacent to I-95, and lying between the borders of Virginia and South Carolina.

note: appellation is not a hillbilly.

So if B's is number two, what is number one?

Getting rid of a state thats $547 billion in debt and spent $100 billion on fairness instead of fixing their infrastructure would be a huge bonus alone.

And it's only a matter of time until their tech companies (with their outrageous valuations) that the general public is in the process of pushing back against and will ultimately reject comes crashing down.

So, California's per citizen debt is $11,633. Federal debt per citizen (incl. California, b/c it's way too much work to break it out and prorate) is $61,209.

California's debt to GDP ratio is 17.53%. The Federal ratio is 104.78%. I mean, how awful is California doing?

No the last 4 years of NC state government is the standard of what not to do. McDouche and his goonies ruined public schools AND took away the teaching fellows program among many other things (like HB2)
