Not sure what happened to it, but it was just a tweet from Korey Cunningham stating they had been told it's back to all black uniforms at Nippert this season. Not quite word for word, but close.

Thank the lord! I hate the guessing of jerseys each week. The Bearcats are known for their black intimidating uniforms time to embrace our heritage.

I honestly think they might be. It seems like every move they make is exactly what everyone on here is clamoring for. Then again, maybe they just use common sense.

Not taking credit at all, but that was what I tweeted to CLF when he was hired. Something like welcome and please all black at home. :). I'm sure he heard it from other fans.

I would like see special throwbacks for homecoming every season. 1997 throwbacks, old C-PAW, Humanitarian Bowl champions would be perfect for this upcoming season.

Several people did, including Parker Ehinger. It is quite telling that Park had that opinion when he played under Tubs for two years. Obviously the players wanted to go black over the past 4 years.

If I had to guess, I would think they will still have a single whiteout game, and a single ring of red game, with the other four games being all black. Which should always be the formula.

I always thought the team should follow this pattern:

12 total games, 6 home and 6 away

Home: Black on black X2, black on white X2, red on black, red on white. If for some reason we have 7 home games in a certain year, throw in black on black a third time or do a special throwback uniform.
Away: White on black X3, White on white X3.

Do away with the red pants completely, and ALWAYS wear the black helmet. Simple, shows off a little variety, and we'll have the iconic UC look every game.

I do like red, but only as a solid color for a jersey and not with the kiddie Bearcat. Maybe if they could give it a high tech carbon fiber finish and put it with black pants that would be cool. But only once a year, at least at home.

My concern with last year is it's hard to build an identity and brand switching things every week and incorporating stuff like the window triangles that has absolutely no basis in establishing our brand or history. If they wanted to put the classic arched-back Bearcat on our jerseys, that would be cool. But just throwing stuff like the athletic center windows on our uniforms is cart before the horse thinking.

Winning and looking good doing it...but yes, I'll take winning above any other factor. The absence of Headset Crash Test Dummy has opened the door for changes across many fronts though. It's an exciting time indeed.....

But talking about the uniform/uni combos means we don't care about winning. It is impossible to discuss these two things separately.
