GCU WBB Coach to be Announced
THIS PRESS RELEASE came across my Google alerts last night about the upcoming announcement of GCU's WBB HC hire. Lopes87 has had the name for about a month now, so I'll let him do the honors.
I really have the highest respect for Trent May as a coach & person. That being said, it probably was time to move on. I'm impressed by the hire and am looking forward to seeing where WBB is in 2-3 years.

Reading the release, my guess is that it will likely be a former Phoenix NBA/WNBA player that has been hired.

Since Lopes87 isn't going to break his own news, he's been saying Oregon WBB assistant Nicole Powell for about a month. POWELL'S BIO fits the press release and is pretty impressive. She also played her HS ball in the Phoenix area.

This is a huge pick up for the woman's side of the game. Oregon has a good woman's team that made a good run in the tourney this past season.
